More about James Bradley Roberts:

Born in a rural community in the state of Michigan, James spent most of his youth roaming the fields and woods around his home in order to avoid his parents and older brother. His father worked long hours at a local factory and had neither the time nor the patience for his children. His mother worked varying hours as a waitress and preferred to spend her time at home with a bottle of vodka rather than her children. While both of his parents where abusive his older brother Rick put the blame for the families hardships upon James, resulting in many beatings at the hands of his brother and his friends when their parents where not around which was often.

James left home at the age of seventeen and found a job working in a trailer factory in a nearby town. He spent the next several years of his life working hard and drinking hard. While intoxicated James let his anger get the best of him resulting in many barroom fights. Then he met Emily and all that changed. The two married the next year and had there fist daughter, Katey, two years later followed by a son, Brian, the next year.

For there fifth anniversary James surprised Emily with a trip to Europe, something she'd always dreamed of doing. A month later they boarded a plane, leaving there children behind with Emily's parents. A week and a half into there vacation the quarantine was put in place and people began becoming sick all around them. After Emily fell ill James staid by her side until she took her last breath. James emerged from there hotel room an hour later to find himself alone in a place he knew nothing about.
