Background; Arturo had been reared, as all previous members of the groaning ancient Remis family, by an over zealous nanny, who took care of his every need until he reached his teenage years. He had spent most of his time either at the country mansion that was the ancestral home or visiting various branches of the family tree in foreign lands and had received a more than average education that his privileged upbringing had allowed.
Always a studious individual Arturo had found his energy, imagination and enthusiasm pricked by the lifestyle and treasure of generations past and as such he began investing his time investigating tombs, castles in fact anything that had a little history tied to it. As he aged, he developed his natural skills and became quite proficient in opening locks, avoiding traps, reading ancient texts and deciphering
problems.
Arturo has remained single, though not without offers during his younger years, as he has seen first hand the result of years of inter family breeding can do when his sister Delfina was born.
In his later years Arturo has found it physically arduous to continue his love for his hobby. Having as somewhat increased in girth the prospect of him diving through narrow tunnels decreased and he has begun to amuse himself by concocting, what he believes to be useful devices, out of basically old junk that others have discarded.
Arturo has heard snippets of information about the legendary Isla de las Profundidalas through his various journeys, a whisper of treasure here and a hushed word about royalty there. When the island emerged Arturo just couldn’t contain his excitement and vow to explore this strange land, as a bonus on the side he also hoped that trekking through the island habitat might help him lose a little weight.

Personality; Arturo or Arty as he prefers, has always been extremely likeable. Although he comes from a wealthy, high ranking family he has never been one to put on airs and graces and gets along with practically everyone. Although good natured and generous he is no-one fool and will put anyone straight on this fact if they try to trick him. He loves fine foods and company and will often be the centre on any celebration.

Appearance; Age has been somewhat unkind to dear old Arturo. The slim lithe youth has been replaced by a distended tummy that hangs over his trousers and cheeks that seem set on meeting up with chest. His face is still boyish, with ruddy smooth cheeks that have very little in the way of stubble on them. His eyes are a pale blue and have lost a little on their sparkle as the flesh around them seems to be encroaching on the eye socket. His hair in receding and the little that remains is greyish, dirty blond.
