Don't supppose you've seen any wildlife running around? Of the small furry edible sort. Not that i've got much of an idea how to catch them even if ypu have. But somebody might. Let's take our haul back to camp if they haven't slaughtered each other already. I'm Scurvy by the way."[/color]

''I havent seen any wildlife since I got here no but I havent had move time to look for any. As for catching them I'm not sure, I could try crafting a bow out of some stuff I find laying around.'' Says Finn

"I believe I have the necessary skills to help with this new expedition, So may I come?" asked Steffan.

“Before you head off lads” called Arty good naturedly “I was wondering if we should build a shelter before we go exploring. You know something to come home to so to speak” he said whimsically eyeing the center of the island that Eldric had alluded to. “I for one would love to seek out the mysteries this island hold, but I believe its prudent to ensure we have prepared ourselves fully before” Tentatively picking up one of the cooked crabs by its scalding leg and dangling it aloft “Velvet crab anyone? I think we should search this area for a place to build a rough shelter and gather some materials. Nothing fancy mind, just a basic roof over our heads” To back up his theory Arty briefly scanned the beach

There was a nice sheltered spot between two trees that would do nicely. The ground uderneath was away from the splash zone and good and solid. The trees themselves could be used as walls for the shelter and there were plenty of dead trees that could be used to make up the rest of the shelter.

''I'm sure if we look around we will problebly find a stone building before long. this island was inhabited in the past after all.Beside so what if we have to sleep under the stars for a night or two? I would personaly enjoy it.'' Says Finn

Arty chuckled “You may not want to sleep under the stars once its rains my friend. Look over there are a couple of good sturdy trees over there that we could use as part of a frame and there are plenty of old branches that we can use to construct free standing walls.” Licking the fishy juices that had escaped the crabs from his fingers “It will only take us a couple of minutes if we all work together and then we can go off exploring. Anyone else for one of these crabs there are quite delicious?”

"I would love one Arty as I lost my dinner over the railing during the storm, and I will help with this shelter, even though I believe we will find some kind of building in the center of this isle." Steffan replied most matterof factly.

A couple of the sailors also obviously thought it would be a good idea for a shelter, and, as Eldrid and his small party stood back and watched a shelter was built. Several pieces of driftwood were lashed together with washed up rope, securing it to the support trees. Then some small branches wee laid over the top and finally palm leaves were used to seal up the roof as best as possible.

It wasn't the best shelter going, and come a strong wind it would probably fall over, but it was better than nothing and should be able to keep about seven of them sheltered at least.

"There we go" said Arty brushing one hand against the other "Right ready when you are" barely able to contain his excitement

"Ok, let's go explore this little island and maybe bring back some food as well, " Steffan exclaimed enthuasically.

And so the group set out for the middle of the island, unsure of what they should find. As they moved away from the beach it seemed that the sailors who had helped bury the captain were not coming, preferring to try their luck on the beach it would seem.
