Using the generator can be a bit tricky. What you could do is spend 100 CP on stats and then drop the 8 CP you need to play a SHARC from your character's career skills.

I'm not sure what's going on this week. How about Sunday night around 9pm? Just check in when I'm logged on and drop me a PM. That goes for any of you if you want.

BTW, and my apologies for this. I missed off 'toughness' from the stat generator program. It's a derived characteristic - it comes after LUCK - and it's an average of your character's willpower and health. It's basically a "soak" value. When someone lamps you, you reduce the damage by your character's toughness stat.

Shandy drinkers have toughness 2 as a rule. :)

I shall check the chatroom at 9 tomorrow evening then. I think this game looks good and I'm looking forward to playing, but I'm just not getting it at all yet.

Okay folks. I've had characters from most of you. I know Tyrion and EB have a few odds and ends to tie up, but I think we are on for this evening. Thanks to everyone for battling through the character generation! I know it's not that easy!! :)

Because I'm a kind and generous so-and-so, I'm going to give all your characters a free data plug implant. You should now see this on your character sheet. If your character already has a data plug, simply refund the cost on your character sheet and buy something else.

This implant is a tiny round data socket (about the size of the audio jack on your MP3 player) and can be mounted on the temples, at the back of the next, behind an ear or on a wrist.

A data plug allows your character to link to other devices (eg. stim chips*, mobile telephone, 'smart' weaponry, vehicles, computers, etc). You don't need specialist links to access an external 'smart' system - the device handles the grunt work, the plug is just the interface. A number of folk - those at the cutting edge - are moving towards using an 'aug' (or augmentation) to control devices wirelessly, but more on that as the game develops.

Stim chips are pre-recorded simulated stimulations. They are a bit like a movie shot in the first person as you experience what the person recording the 'stim' was doing. That includes all five senses - although in post production less than pleasant or distracting sensations are replaced. Therefore, you won't feel that stitch when the sim star wins the race or that they had a sprain during the martial arts bout.

You can't die from viewing a stim recording and the legitimate recordings will have pain levels throttled back - even action stim don't hurt too bad. Clearly there's a market for erotic recordings - called skin-stim. Recordings where people die or there's other illegal activitiy are called black-jacks. If you've seen Strange Days - this will make more sense!! :D But any questions to the usual OOC area.

Righto... I think we're ready to rock. :D

Is this still running? I'd like to join but could use a hand on the character generation.

Hi,

Yes, this game is still running. One of the prerequists is frequent posting as I like to keep the game moving.

The character generation is in the main game, so take a look in there.
