Looking around for a bag or sack or just a piece of large cloth to make into an imåpromptu carrying-thingy, Eldrid kept the book for future reference, before heading back upstairs.

The grumble in Arty's stomache reminded him that he hadn't eat for at least a couple of hours, slapping his torso the flesh began to ripple and undulate "Well lads are we ready to head off?" he asked anxious to get their expediation off the ground in the hope that they might happen on some consumerables on the way.

"Well" Arty began rubbing the folds of skin around his chin as he thought "Before the tunnel distracted us weren't we going to go to the centre of the island and try to find out who is behind the drumming?" Looking at his comrades for an acknowledge he continued "I think we might as well do that myself, why dont you lead the way young Finn?"

Packing up from the store, the group moved back into the open, where the ground was still illuminated by the eerie light. The shop was on what could be assumed to be the main road, and turning to the right the group started to move along that road, which led to the centre of the island. At the edge of the town was an old broken down cart depot, where seemingly the carts would have been filled up with the kings tresures to either take in or out of the island. A sign stood opposite the depot, pointing to the centre of the island. It was quite faded by now, but it said:
The Temple ->
The Temple ->

“Oh goodie” declared the exuberant Arty at the sight of the sign post “Someone even had the fore thought to mark the way for us. This indicated quite an advanced society you know” He stood for a second marvelling at the weather worn sign as the others move off in the direction indicated.

"Maybe it's a sign so strangers can be directed to be eaten," Steffan says laughing, "It seems strange to me that if you live on a small island, you wouldn't know where the temple is?"

Slapping Stefan on the back Arty laughed out loud “I hope that isn’t the intention Steff, old chap” Taking another glance towards the sign he continued “I’m assuming that the if the legends are correct and various rulers buried their treasures here, there may have been a donation of sorts to the local deity, hence this sign”

"Let us hope, we don't need a donation for the temple then, because I'm skint, except for these few coins I found. " Steffan says as he shows the few coins he found near the skeleton.

"I'm sure there was an old legend i've heard sailors talk about. Something to do with coins. Like if someone dies, they have a coin put in their mouths so they can pay some ferryman so they can cross over some sea or something to heaven. Oh I don't know. Can't see how that works meself. Sailors are strange people and tell lots of strange stories. And that's before they start drinking rum." shrugged Scurvy, "A yo ho ho this and a yo ho ho that. What the bloody hell's a yohoho anyway? Never found that out."

Regardless of the meaning of a yohoho, the group had places to be, ravenous cannibals to see, and so they left behind the broken down cart depot and the sign which pointed in the way that they were headed. There was a smooth road for them to follow, and so follow it they did. As they left the small town the landscape once again became forest like, though no where near as dense as before. It didn't take long for them to reach the end of this forest area, and when they did they were at the bottom of the mountain which occupied the centre of the island.
