The vines caught hold of the figure, whatever it was and it let out a scream. The vines started to turn black and whithered, shrinking back into the walls. It turned and ran down the tunnel, making its brackish calls as it went. So much for stealthy......

"Well that worked out well..." muttered Scurvy before yelling, "After it!" and took off pounding down the corridor after the fleeing figure, torch in one hand, metal bound club in the other. Though he had absolutely no idea what he was going to do if the damnable thing actually stopped.

The creature ran through the chamber and carried straight on through another tunnel, Scurvy fast at its heels. The tunnel veered off to the right and up ahead was a slightly darkened chamber.

The arrow stuck in the creatures shin, but it didn't slow down. Quarion ran after Scurvy, and soon the two of them were out of sight of the main group.

“Oh my giddy Aunt that wasn’t the outcome I was after “wheezed Arturo as he did his best to keep up with his rapidly disappearing party. The muscles in his thights burned with the exertion as he fell further and further behind. Stopping for a second he squinted ahead trying to dissern which path to take. Having weighed up the option he darted down the path that was on his right, hoping that he had made the right decision he feet pounded the floor hoping to catch a glimpse of the back of one of his companions.
