"There's another saying: 'Man who waits for roast duck to fly into mouth must wait very, very long time.' Does it apply to this situation? Not if you think it's a saying about roast duck. Is it funnier than yours? Absolutely. Still, there's another, simpler one I prefer: 'To each, his own'. Or hers, for that matter. So, team up to your hearts' content; that arrangement worked well enough last time me and Kane worked on the same 'problem' together. Him and a select few teamed up, I looked into a couple of things on my own, and that way we uncovered more parts of the puzzle in a shorter time than we would if we had stayed together. And the joined-yet-separated effort produced enough evidence for the Prince to... conclude his investigations satisfactorily and punish most - though unfortunately not all - of the guilty."

Beginning to look a little uncomfortable - this was exactly why he didn't like this type of situation; he was feeling the leash closing around his neck - he looked to Wheeler and the Prince again: "They knew how I work when they asked me to come."

Then turning back to Analise, he directed the Gangrel blood in his body to his hand and held it up, as feral claws sprouted from his fingertips: "And I have my backup right here. Kane will no doubt provide you with some backup of your own; he is a generous guy with a whole friggin' sh*tload of toys at his house, enough to make certain terrorist states blush in embarrassment over their own pathetic stock. Or so I have heard tell."

Lowering his hand, he nudged his head towards the Prince again: "Besides, if that's not true, the Prince will provide. Money is no object, remember?"

Alucard nodded as the loner made his case. "I see," is all he said about the situation.

He turned to Wheeler and the Prince, "Know we of any who might be able to give us more information pertains to his location?"

Aaron beamed at Wheeler's words: "That's still Sally, right? Heading up the Nozzies?"

"I do indeed have many toys, but i prefer not to share anymore. I share and then people break or misuse my toys., and while as fun as that is, thats my job, not theres. Now, as for splitting up, i agree in that we should. I for one can protect myself, i need no help from Toreadors, i can protect myself, no offense, Prince. So, hows about, you two Torries gang up and help each other, and Aaron and I can go our own ways, or team up if needed. Him and I understand each other better, and I'm sure you to also do the same, being of the same clan. So, If there is nothing else, I think we are done here, and we will meet again tomorrow night, agreed?"

"Getting stingy, are we? Now your just making it so our new partners will think we're a**holes. Oh well; 'do what thou will' etcetera. Any way, might be you're done, but just because we're splitting up and can cover more ground, doesn't mean we have to be sloppy about it. First of all..." Aaron said, fishing out an old cellphone from his coat. "I hate these things," he muttered, while turning it on and punching in the PIN-code. Soon a series of messages ticked in, but Aaron seemed to ignore them, before holding out his phone to the room in general.

"Care to punch in your numbers? If you're into this cellular cr*p, that is. If not, we can do it the old-fashioned way and start out every evening here, like Kane said."

Waiting for someone to take the phone from him, he turned to the Prince and Wheeler, and said: "Secondly, I still have several questions; how long ago was Teresa Grey found? Is the body still available, or has it been buried? If so, is there a forensics report?" As he asked this, he began leafing through the file again, seeing if he could find the answer to his question there. "I'm wondering how long the victim was kept alive; was she killed the same night as she was taken, or did the torture and abuse drag out over the next couple of days? Was she killed the day she was found? If Goodwin and his cronies like to play games first, then we might have a chance to save his next victim. and I say next victim, because I think we're going to have a hard time finding these guys unless they stick their heads out of their shell."

Looking pensive, he went back and forth in the file, trying to see how often Goodwin had taken victims during his time in Paris and Dublin, to get some indication of what time-frame they were looking at. He also wrote down the adress to the place where the child had been taken. While he read, he asked casually: "So, Wheeler; thinking back to last time I was in town, who are still around? It'd be nice to know if there are any more familiar faces around..."

Alexander takes the phone and types in his number, then calls his number so he has its number, then passes it on.

Wheeler looks uncomfortable as he speaks, [color=#6666CC;]"She was found over a fortnight ago. She had been kept alive just over a week, judging by the wounds and the partial healing of them. The body is still in the police mortuary if you wish to take a look."[/color]
The grin returns as Aaron asks about familiar faces, [color=#6666CC;]"Not much changes around here, faces remain the same. A certain young romany lady is still here and very much annoyed with you."[/color]

According to the file a new victim was taken about every month. The length of time they spent in an area depended upon how close they were to being discovered.

Thanking Kane with a nod, Aaron answered Wheeler: "I would,", seemingly ignoring the Primoge's comment about certain females. "Do we get some sort of 'permit' to make this inquiry?" He was particularly thinking of the gold coins with the Prince's seal that him and the others had been issued with last time, but didn't feel like asking for one directly; Wheeler had given them out without the Prince's permission, and might not have reported that. Ever.

Taking out a writing pad and scribbling on it, he said out loud: "While I'm in no position to delegate work, I suggest that at least Analise and Alucard visit The Yard Bird, if not all three of you; the 'Bird' sounds like a party place, and you are no doubt party people...and there are three women missing. For my own part, I will try and establish contact with the Nosferatu; that tends to take one night to 'take effect', however. Then I was thinking I'd do a quick check on the body, although I don't really expect to find anything new; not being a forensic expert, unlike these people..." he said, tapping the file, "..and,after that, maybe take a drive to the kidnapping site and look around. Then, depending on if anything comes up, I might join you at the 'Bird' later."

With a grin he added: "But - 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law'; you are of course free to take any action you want."

"That sounds like a sound plan. Well, if there isn't anything else, shall we get going, Little Toreadors? We need to get going if we want to get these things figured out soon. To the Yard Bird. What type of club is it, Wheeler? would i stand out in my attire?"

Alucard raised an eyebrow as he was called little, but made no comment about it. He took the phone from Kane and repeated the process, handing it finally to Analise.

"I shall partake of your ride, no sense in us getting there by different means."

Analise was still partly mesmerised by Aaron’s display, the long talons could do a lot of damage if they were raked down a girl’s back in an act of foreplay. She had welcomed the distraction from the grim reality of what they had been bought here to do. Dragging her eyes away from his finger tips she concentrate on the details of the plan. “Staking out at a party eh? Sounds like the sort of role I was cut out for” she quipped “I sure as little ones as you put it Alex....” she hesitated momentarily just to annoy Kane “ ander will adequately cope with that task” Shooting a glance at the permantantly morbid Alucard she grimaced a little “ Well perhaps some of us will need a little help blending in” Moving over towards Alexander to indicate that she wanted a lift she gently took Aaron’s phone “I knew you would be wanting my number in the end” she said triumphantly

"What can I say; I am a slave to my baser insticts..." Aaron said with a grin, taking back his phone, now complete with numbers. Then he held it out to Wheeler: "You into these things? Anyway, it'd be good to have a number to get hold of the extra manpower you talked about."

Alexander scowls towards analise when she pauses, still glaring towards her when she moves towards him.

"Sorry, love, only got room for one, and your not my type." He says to Analise, keeping her a step away from him.

"Now, now... No need for you guys to get discourteous. That's my job," Aaron said with a wry smile. Looking to Analise, he said: "Unless you have a problem with your hair getting ruffled, I can drop you off at the club on my bike."
