"Dean what do you think he means that he can't find it by himself?" whispered Michele. Surely the water was either there or it wasn't. "Or does he mean that they won't give it to him until he gets us in there? But then that means they know we're here..." Michele didn't see how that could be possible. They hadn't been aware of anyone else who might have seen them, but now the thought slid uneasily into Michele's mind that they might have been implanted with tracking devices.

"Maybe he needs help?" Dean replied, not exactly believing himself on this matter, "Like say the water needs to be pumped or something like that." Maybe this was a trap, maybe it was a test, who knew, and what choice did they really have?

"Listen to that, is that him making that noise? The guy must be totally crazy, who knows what's been done to him." Michele couldn't think what to do. The old man had said that water was to be had in that room and her thirst was now a burning need, but he had also said it was given to him, which implied that guards might also be there. She remembered that he had allegedly been blindfolded so if the water was simply concealed somewhere he might not know where to look, however, the thing that worried her most was the mind wipe drug he had mentioned. They would have to be very careful about what they drank here.

Michele realised she hadn't answered Dean's question. "Oh yes, I've still got the cattle prod. I'm not letting that out of my sight if I can help it" she said grimly. "I don't see we have any option but to follow him in there, but we'd better go carefully".

"Agreed," Dean said, feeling much better now that he was sure that Michele had the cattle prod. He reluctantly followed the old man into the next room hoping to God - if he believed in Him that was - that it wasn't a trap he was walking into.

the room has a table just to the right as you enter with draws, high wall cupboards behind and to the side of the old man and ropes and chain holders in the walls at chest hight.

Michele followed Dean cautiously into the room looking about her as she did so. "Dean I'm not liking the look of this" she said quietly as she saw the restraints in the walls. "Why in hell do we need to stand at his right shoulder?" she wondered. Moving round him she carefully looked over the floor and to the ceiling above to see if there was anything they needed to know about, like a hatch or a trapdoor.

"Where is the water?" Dean asked the old man, feeling butterfly in his stomach as his eyes fell on the chains.

there are two cupboards behind you as your at the corner of the room.

Dean was wary of opening the cupboards, his mind having fleeting thoughts about the different things that could be inside of it. Yet, what could he do, if he didn't drink soon he would most probably collapse of dehydration or perhaps worse, even die of it. And then there was Michele to think about, what if it really was a trap? He couldn't let her take a fall, at least if he got caught she might have a chance to get away. So, he opened the cupboard.

in the cupboard there is bottled water some cheap brand but the cupboard has 25 one pint bottles, the lower shelf has a tap and a mucky cup underneath turning the tap water pours out its a slightly dirty colour probably due to the metal pipes but tastes good.
to the side of the cup are three small Dropper bottles marked knock out mix one drop with water.

Dean inspected both the bottles and the droppers a bit before handing a bottle each to the old man and Michelle, taking one for himself as well and opening it straight away and glugging it down.

Dean seemed to take an age examining the bottles and the droppers. Michele took the bottle he handed her impatiently and with a cursory check that the seal was intact opened it. About to down the contents as quickly as possible she hesitated. It had been some time since she had anything to drink and as dehydrated as she was it wouldn't do to dump a load of water straight into her system. She made herself sip slowly, taking more as her body gratefully accepted it.

Finishing the bottle, Michele went over to the cupboard. "I needed that, any more going spare in there?" she asked Dean, but she was wondering. Why hadn't the old man checked the cupboards when he came in? He might have been blindfolded before, but he could see where they were this time.. couldn't he? "Dean I just had a thought" she whispered. "That old man said he couldn't find the water even though the cupboards are all in plain sight and he needed some kind of directions to tell you which one it was. Do you think he might be blind?" The man gave the impression of being able to see sometimes, but why then did he not look in the cupboards himself?

It made perfect sense! The old man must be blind. "Don't drink that water!" he shouted to the old man snatching it away from his grasp and throwing the contents on the floor. "I'm sorry, but you've been acting weird, and I added a couple of drops of a solution which would knock you out to the water. My god, I'm sorry, but why didn't you tell us you were blind! Who've had us worrying about whether your insane or going to lead us into a trap." Of course, he as of yet had no conformation that the old man was blind, but it all seemed to fit.
