Aaron froze in his track, trying to listen for any sounds, particularly a woman's voice.
Now that it had been pointed out, he though he did hear something, although hje couldn't pinpoint iot exactly.
"My, what big ears you have, Grandma," he whispered over his shoulder to Jessie. Chances are it's Amber, left here either to starve to death, or go insane with bloodlust, if they turned her too. Which I wouldn't put past this guy. Or, of course it could be the faithful Tracey, having received the same treatment, just because these guys can..."

now Aaron can hear it too, no words but the tone sounds like soothing calming but with an edge of panic. It sounds as if the woman is speaking to a child by the tone.

"Well, let's find the unfortunate one, whoever it is..." Aaron whispered, continued through the old building.

Analise followed behind uncharacteristically quietly allowing her ears a rest from he own voice. The sounds that emanated from below them made her shiver its tone seemed strange and unnerving. Lightly she touched the weapons that she had acquired earlier, its coldness somewhat smoothing “This could just be a carrot you know” she whispered “A way to get us all exactly where they want us”

Following Analise's warning, Aaron kept an eye out for some way down, but let this not be the main focus of his continued search; any sign of habitation, past or present, was foremost in his mind.

The first thing that became evident as you entered the house deeper was the lack of dust. The polished wood floors, although not spotless had no dust upon them. The open plan reception room had white sheeted furniture in it, and the surfaces were dust free also. The parlour door was open and there were ashes still in the fireplace, and a mess of quilts and blankets upon the sofa.

Moving in the direction of the couch, Aaron kept a keen eye around for potential surprises, from the sides, or even above.

"It looks like someone is living here" said Analise as she run her fingers along the back of the sheeted furniture "There's not a speck of dust on anything. In here is completely the opposite of the outside. Someone has gone to great lengths to make this dump livable"

As Aaron moved closer to the mess of sheets he began to smell the stench that was coming from them. A smell of sweat, filth and corruption. At the side of the couch lay several takeaway packaging and some rather unsavoury pictures..

"Just because it's clean doesn't mean it's lived in," Alucard stated matter of factly in his usual slightly irritating posh way, his eyes constantly twitching back and forth, looking for clues, though what would constitute a clue he was unsure.

"'Clean'... dunno about that," Aaron muttered as he approached what was obviously The Worm's favorite cozy-place. He still felt fairly certian that the baddies had relocatred, but there was really no way of knowing. And who knew; perhaps the uglisome creature was dozing under those quilts even now? Or feigning to doze...? Aaron approached gun first.

“Eww yuk” escaped Analise’s lips as she spied the pile of bed linen “Some people have no standards and just look at those pictures, can you imagine what he does in bed while he looks at those” she shuddered at the thought completely ruining Aaron’s stealthy approach. The den seemed to be in complete counter point to the dust free furniture

Aaron felt a presence beside him as Jezabelle stalked to the sofa, knife in hand. She lifted one of the crusty quilts with the knife, "Just because ones master has standards doesn't mean yours will be the same." She murmured to herself with a scowl.
There was nobody on the sofa, the ashes in the grate appeared to be over a day old.

At once both disappointed and relieved that the fighting was yet to come, Aaron searched the couch and quilts thorougly; unlike certain others, he had little or no qualms about filth. He was no Nosferaat, but being dead and living rurally gave you a certain tolerance.
