"Only a few minutes" replied Michele. "We were just talking about stuff we remember, things are starting to come back now. I remember working with you Dean, we were having some kind of contest to see who got their job done quickest. It was fun" she finished wistfully.
She picked up the name badge again, turning it over in her fingers. There was something, she was sure of it. "Sage" she murmured. "I think Sage gave me this badge, or it must have been one just like it. We'd gone over to someone's house and she gave it to me. I think it was for a game or something..." It couldn't possibly have been this badge. Jack had said he found it on a dead woman. It must be some weird coincidence.. it must be.

"Well, I figured it was her nametag, anyway... she was wearing a nurse's uniform, and... " Nah, he didn't have to tell them about the skingraft; that thing still bothered him. "She... didn't look entirely unlike you, as a matter of fact," he added, almost apologethically, to Michelle.
He rubbed his temple for a moment, and looked around at the group. "Alright, so... I say we do a quick rundown of what we know. Might be a lot of repetition, but if one repetition means someone remembers something, then I'll hear a thing ten times. I'll go first."
He straightened up, and looked into space, concentrating on what he had seen, in order to remember as much as possible.
"My name is Jack Rudeger. I am a soldier. Long time soldier. Even if someone hadn't tampered with my brain, I'm guessing that soldiering is about the only thing I know. I was pointman, or scout, and I...think... you have been a commanding officer of sorts" he said, pointing to Jessica, then gave her the salute he had remembered when the man with the gun had made it, "..in which case I have been lax in attention to my station, sir. But I hope current circumstances allow for a certain leeway. You I also remember giving me medical directions to which I would comply, which like as not makes you my superior as well,". This last was directed at Natasha, whom he then proceded to give a quick salute.
He made a 'move along' sign to himself, and continued: "I woke up only a few hours ago, locked inside a room with the body of a dead woman who was dressed like a nurse. There was blood on the walls, and I suppose she had died violently. Whether or not by my hands, I cannot be sure. I know I am capable of killing an enemy unarmed, and I was sore all over, but if this woman was my enemy, I do not know. Upon awakening, chiefly I was worried about the apperant operating wound in my gut. I had no memory, neither of name, station, situation or location."
His words now were curt, to the point, the word debriefing came to his mind, and he showed it away, not wishing to lose focus.
"There were precious few things to help jog my memory. A piece of glass was wrapped up in my bandages, an adjoining piece to one I found just now in those clothes over there - again I draw your attention to the name "Global-Tech Manufacturing" or something similar; it is the brandname presented on the two glasspieces." He looked around, to see if there was recognition in any of the faces at the mention of the name, but even if there was, he continued, not wanting to stop while he was going: "I found some keys, that nametag and some, heh... some lint or fur on the dead body. I'm not sure why I took it that last bit with me. I suppose I like the color. Well, no. I took it with me because I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Anyway, at some point I was aware of someone outside the door, while at the same time becoming aware of... sounds emitting from the dead body. Long story short, the door was opened from the outside by.... here he grasped for the full name and title of his superior officers, but got nothing, and simply indicated Jessica and Natasha instead: "...these two and I - using a table in the room - crushed a... sort of creature that came out of the dead body; a metallic worm of a sort. Sadly in the process, the body was badly damaged, but in my defense, I will say that it was already decomposing...and.. it seemed some other reagent was at work, perhaps a byproduct of the 'creature'."
He started talking faster, feeling for a moment that this wasn't at all interesting for the others and that he was only taking up time with stuff that mattered only to him, but he'd finish: "Along with..." he wanted to say 'the lieutenant', but again, decided he couldn't trust some of these things in his head to be true, and opted for "the others, I made my way here - after, regrettably having to abandon a search of the surrounding premises, due to my injury - where we barricaded the doors, heard some manner of explosion, and promptly rested. Once refreshed, Stitches examined my wound, found a dead, miniature worm in the bandages, we made a meal, and was about to move out, when we heard you at the door. Also, there is running water nearby, which may or may not be problematic to us, depending on where we actually are at present."
He looked at his two 'long-time' companions: "I believe that is everything, sir," he said to Jessica, then looked around to see what everyone was making of this.

Being called sir bothered Jessica a bit. "So, does anyone else remember me being someone in charge?" She looked at Jack and the others, a bit of a worried look on her face. "It just seems so weird that I would be put in charge of....well, whatever we were sent to do. But since I don't remember anything, I suppose it could be true."
Standing up a bit more, she tried to grasp with the idea of being in charge of all of these people. What were they doing here, and what were they supposed to do? "If only we knew why we were here, everything would make more sense......."

"Did you just call me stitches? " asked Natasha with a frown of being unable to remember. "Was that my nickname? If so I can't remember." She turned to Jessica, "You and sage are definately commanding officers. I remember all of the faces around me, as having treated all of you at some point. "

"Alright, well, let's see what we've got to work with then." Jessica straightened up a little more, a leader didn't slouch. "What did you guys see out there? Any way to the surface, or just something that will take us out of whatever Hell we just found ourselves in?"

"Well what about trying to get to the submarine that we saw? I have a feeling thats how we got here, maybe thats how we all got here," she shakes her head and grins at jessica. "Sorry but I can't call you sir, it sounds silly. Court marshal me later if you want."

"Unless you fancy drowning yourselves I think you're out of luck," Dean responded, resisting the urge to call Jessica sir, "I think it's the running water that you," he nodded towards Jack, "were on about. However there were other ways we haven't yet explored, so you never know there may be some potential for escape back the way." He felt at ease now, the food settling in his stomach, the slight rest and more people made him feel less paranoid about Michele. He put the gun away but remained sitting, he didn't see any reason in standing just yet, they were still talking, and this place was a maze, they would most likely need all the energy they could get. "However we must warn you that there are some.....creatures back the way that we came, I'm not sure what's become of them."

"Creatures? What kind of creatures? Were they like this worm thing that was inside the dead woman in Jacks room?" Natasha seems to pause and then pales, "Oh god! I wonder whether they were implanting the worms to create a new creature, a symbiot of some kind...."

"You remember the things in the first place we were, near the cells?" Dean responded slowly, his memory was still acting up it seemed, and it didn't help that he hadn't gotten a good look at the things, "I think they were something similar to them. They got the old man, we never even knew his name...."

"I vaguely remember, it seems years since I woke up there. I am sure that looked like a wild man? Or am I mistaken? Just a theory but what if this is the change that happens as the worm grows inside. You get stronger fiercer, fearless, but lose your intellect use the animal part of the brain..."She looks closely of the other people in the room, "Do any of you have any sore areas or wounds that are unexplained? Check places like behind your ears, the hairline. I think it will be the abdomen they are using like the failed experiment on Jack but....better safe than sorry I say!" Natasha starts to do a check on her own body.

Jack bit his tounge; he hadn't gone through an antroduction and long discourse about what he remembered jiust to annoy this people; it had been about sharing information. Clearly, the others didn't see a need for that, and now suddenly there was a submarine, and old men and wild men... But, he wasn't going to explode like he had before; clearly he has usually a man of great selfdiscipline; he would try to live by that.
Turning to the man with the now-holstered gun, Jack tried to keep his face free of teh irritation he was feeling. "Really - a submarine you say? But for some reason it is not a viable escape route? If you could extrapolate further, I would be very grateful," he managed.
-'Listen to the fancy talker! You sure you were in the military, and not in the diplomatic core, товарищ...?'
-Oh, shut up...

A submarine? Who had said anything about a submarine? "I'm sorry....Jack was it? But what submarine? I certainly didn't mention anything about a submarine." Had he missed a part of the conversation when he was asleep? Or maybe he missed something just after he woke, before his brain had truely managed to get itself in gear?

Jack looked a little exasperated, but then again, the man had just woken up, so he decided to take it slow: "No, you are right, mister, it as not you, but Sti-, Natasha here who mentioned the submarine, to which you said that that idea might result in drowning. And I was wondering why you say that. Is it perhaps because you observed this submarine in the distance? Or did you see it out a window, looking out onto the ocean floor, perhaps? I ask what might seem like stupid questions, becauseI do not know where I am. I have knowledge of teh room I woke up in, the hall outside, and this kitchen. If you have information that puts us, say, under the sea, I would very much like to know. In fact, I would request that everyone do a rundown of whatever information they have gathered so far, at least that which may be relevant to our location and situation; old, dying men, submarines and monsters all included." this last he directed to the room in general, looking chiefly at Jessica as he spoke.

"I'm sorry Jack, I'm afraid that we've had a bit of a misunderstanding, I was replying to Jessica's question, in fact I didn't even hear what Natasha said, sorry, but my concentration span appears to be....limited at best. As for catching you up on what I've witnessed that may be of use, that's it pretty much. There was another creature in a room not too far from here, in fact it nearly killed me. It was in a pit in a room just across the corridor we came in by. There were quite a few other small rooms coming off of it, ones that we didn't really investigate too well, maybe there could be something useful in them, I'm not sure, but beyond that room from where we came is water logged, with quite a strong current too."

"F*ck" Jack muttered, as the man talked about the waterclogged room; it went along way towards confirming that they were in fact in deep trouble, 'deep' being the operative word. "My apologies, then. You have a name, mister? Might be we've all been working together, but I can't place you, I'm afraid."
