For all your scavenging trips, if you can add justification for needing the items I may be more generous!

Some of the following if possible:
Animal feed
Tinned food - unless the group say we have enough already.
Tools - DIY level: car / home repair. Drills (not leccy), hammers, etc
Books - first aid (pharmacology guide from Waterstones?), farming / gardening, cooking, Haynes (??) manuals
Medicines - over the counter stuff. (Peter wouldn't know any better)
Fuel cans - tough plastic containers, maybe a few funnels and a hand pump if possible (DIY shop?)
Cigs & Booze - only if we see them. Not for personal use, but as trade goods.
Weaponry - unlikely in the UK, but perhaps shotgun from a specialist shop? Failing that a lead pipe / hammer from DIY
Portable generator and lamps - again, only if we have room, it's last on the list.
Plasma rifle in the 40w range

2. Garden tools/ Seeds..If we are to be self sufficient we’re going to need these
3. Garden Fertilisers.. For self sufficiency and a good idea for making home made explosive devices
4. Food... To keep body, if not soul together
5. Clothes/Shoes...I cant bare the idea of Leon naked
6. Guns/Weapons..cos Furykins has an evil streak and we’ll need them
7. Books..information purposes, such as making biodiesel etc
8. Bandages/dressing...a selection of antibiotics, antiseptic creams and other general medicines otherwise we’re going to die

Seems it's mostly all been said but here's my two penn'orth
Archery equipment. Whatever Peter says, guns are going to be awkward to maintain. A bow and arrows is very low maintenance.
Take anything we can get from a pharmacy, behind the counter drugs as well. We have a medically trained person who could sort this out.
Historical books about how things used to be done before the use of machinery, we should go back to basics
Batteries, as many as possible. Lots of things can be run on batteries and could tide us over until we can manage without them.
I would add to clothes and shoes plenty of cold weather/outdoor gear. Winter will soon be upon us.
If we see one and someone can get it started/drive it, a full or partially full petrol tanker would come in handy.

Baby supplies of all varieties as we have at least 2 pregnant ladies.
Birth control supplies unless we want more babies
Nails, screws, tools, lumber, wire etc to build stuff and fence in more areas for animals
Short wave radio to see if we can pick up longer range signals

Board Games - after all we'll need to keep entertained.
Solar Panels/wind turbines
Insulation from any Hardware shops, after all if the population keeps growing we may need to modify some barns etc.
Soap, shampoo, towels, sheets
Matresses, duvets, snugglies?

I will also add portable heating units. If people are going to be living in barns or caravans keeping them warm enough will be paramount in winter.

Propane
Diesel
Oil
Laptops? There is no reason internet shouldnt work anymore except for power reasons, and im sure others may have some abilities to keep it up, worth a try anyway.
Cell Phones? The Towers are still up i assume.
Walkie Talkies
All Types of Batteries
Battery powered Heaters
Hoses, to syphon fuel from other vehicles
Bicycles? Its good to have some transportation that you dont have to feed or have fuel for.
PVC pipe and fittings for it, and insulation. Good for many reasons, such as what its meant for, laying pipes for water for crops and for other things. Also, can make Boffers, or padded swords, for fun, fitness, and training.
Weights, to keep in shape.
Weapons that dont run out of ammo, such as swords/knives?
Vitamins, Especially C, to keep our immune systems up.
Rope, lots of it.
IDK about England, but do you have an equivelant of SWAT that The US has? if so, there armor would be nice to have.
Duct Tape
Flashlights
Binoculars
First Aid Kit
Multi Tools
Compass'
Good Maps
Thats all i can think of for now.

This is quite a list! I am impressed!
You have several vehicles at your disposal, are you splitting up to look for different things or staying together?
You also need to decide who is going in what vehicles. And if there are any of the NPCs you particularly want to bring.
Chris had brought two large transit vans, there is a removals lorry, a camper van and a couple of 4x4s.
When everything is organised you can post in scavenger hunt

Alyssa would not be keen to leave again or to have too many of the able bodied folk leaving at the same time, given what happened last time she left the place...
Beyond that, for those who leave, I recommend staying together or at least close enough by to provide backup if needed...

I would prefer to stay together on the whole but perhaps the odd foray into a shop alone could spice things up as well...you never know what we might find and not want others to know about

I think going as a single group is best with some splitting into teams to search shops, warehouses etc. and maybe one or two staying with the vehicles. As to NPCs, I would have suggested Luke come along but he's still too out of action I would think. A few able bodied persons from the general rank and file could make up numbers and make things interesting.

I'll second (third?) the above. We could start with the scavenger thread and split off (sub thread?) as required. How does that sound? That'll allow some groups to team up and go at their own pace.

I think we should try to find some small trailers for the 4x4's (You mean quads, right? like 4 wheelers?) and some big trailers for the bigger vehicles. That way we can carry much more than we would otherwise. Also, if the 4x4's are quads, i would like to drive one.

I think Fury means SUVs like Landrovers etc. Cole, but trailers are a good idea if they have towing capability. Having said which, since this is such a big 'shopping' trip we might be better off with the transit vans and the removal truck.
