Fi’s face was a picture of bewilderment as she turned to face Ophelia, had the ice queen actually unfrozen? “I’m sure you would enjoy it” muttered Fi not entirely certain that Ophelia or she would.

"See how the work turns out and we can have a chat, see what comes up" replied Ophelia casually. In truth she was somewhat sorry at the way she had blown Fi out initially, but she had been unnerved at seeing Hopton unexpectedly and then Bailey hadn't showed. It hadn't been a good time was all, but she wasn't about to say so in front of everyone else.

She turned back to face Eve and Nae. "So what work do you have in mind for me to do?" she asked. Better to find that out up front. "And can I continue with my former 'employment'?" New identities had been mentioned. She was ok with that, she had done it before and she had been paid for her last job. She supposed she would miss working with Bailey, but he would find a replacement for her soon enough if it came to it. "Although maybe not as good" she thought with an inward smile.

Nae laughs. It's a forced synthisized noise that doesn't sit well with the more human gesture. "You can say who did it, my advertising comes from word of mouth. I would, however, be grateful if you avoided saying that you actually work for me... for your own safety. We can discuss alterations when we have resolved this Number Syndrome issue."

At the comment of Hopton, Eve nods: "It's a thought. The more people who try, the more chances we have I suppose. We know a few people through Joe and in the biotech community, but that's it really."

Nae ponders Ophelia's question. "We could consider a contract. That doesn't have to be exclusive. Not if you have built up a repultation with an existing broker."

The cyborg's head raises and he addresses all of you: "Where do you all think your talents lie? You could collect Shift X, although that is more of a nursery duty than anything else." He chuckles darkly. "Although as it in in Washport Gate, it will be no milk run."

Eve toys with the top of her waking cane. "We still need to find Hopton. Your clothes and things are in the lockers. If you needed to make any telephone calls to friends, there's that."
