“Yeah I spotted him too” Fi replied nonchalantly “You get an eye for people loitering about in my line of work” trying hard to not stare the follower out, “I wonder who he is attached too, Nae, Shift or Hopton?” Fi whispered “And did you catch the knife in the bin over there” she signalled the direction with her eyes

Pushed along by the crowd, you snake your way through the streets. It isn't long before you reach another road. This time there's a drop and a proper pavement marking the difference between pedestrian and road zones. Oddly, there's no traffic, just a steady stream of dark water from out-of-town to towards the docks. The water steams in places, but there's no smell. Blobs of concrete form stepping stones and a number of kelpboard and metal bridges span the short watercourse.
A gaggle of food sellers cluster around the stream, their stalls pumping out heat and the smells of rich cooking. The crowd, snagged by the delay in taking one of the many short bridges, loiter around and some stop to buy food: meat-sticks, popped corn or hi-caff. The latter'll keep you awake for a good couple of hours.

"You think that maybe Nae doesn't trust us? No, I doubt that it's tied to him, and Shift, well, with his abilities people are most likely not required by him, but surely Hopton wouldn't know our location? Yes, I saw the knife, don't know if the one who dropped it is of any significance or not, in a place like this it's easy to suspect everyone of conspiring against you." Hayden eyed up the foodstalls as they walked along, maybe they could use them to their advantage, which was why he was looking at them now, to make whoever it was that was following them think he was interested in them, "So how are we going to deal with him?"

“Err” answered Fi distractedly “Hey they have Hi-Caff over there, I’m going to get one of those. Keeps you going for hours” she winked at Hayden and smiled slyly before fighting her way through the crowd. After a tad of bartering Fi returned with a poly cup filled with murky, steaming liquid “So you were saying” gently she blew in to the cup causing the contents to ripple “ I know this is going to go straight through me, but the buzz is worth it. I think Nae is an interesting chap, but who could really know what goes on in those many consciousnesses of his. Shift, yeah I agree stalking is a bit old hat when you have so much other information at your finger tips” Fi raised the cup to her lips and made a loud annoying slurping sound “Whoa, that’s a little rough. As for Hopton?” she shrugged her shoulders. “He probably has a under belly or employees that do his dirty work, I think it will pay to keep our eyes woggerling, that incident with the knife might just be coincidence but who knows done here

"Hey Fi, you and I could cause a distraction. We look the 'weakest' of the groups if the others disappear, maybe he'll come to us? Then all four of us could get him." Cass suggested. Thoughts of sex were well known to distract even the strongest willed man.

"I don't know about weakest, you must be able to handle yourself in your line of work" said Ophelia. "But that sounds good to me, you two seduce him then me and Hayden jump out of the panelling and help you grab him". Was Hopton behind this? It did seem most likely but how in hell could he have found out where they were? And if not him, who else was there that might be interested in them? Internal Security possibly? They had narks everywhere and they knew they had been heading for Washport originally. There was every likelihood they had people on the lookout down here in case they showed up. "Maybe once we take out this guy we should split up anyway" she said. "That way we don't stand out so obviously as a group".

"So then, we're agreed, we break apart for now?" Hayden asked, just wanting to make sure that everyone was okay with the plan.

Fi shrugged her agreement as she sipped gingerly at the Hi-Caff. “So who’s going to the Tavern place and where are the other pair going to go?” suddenly she looked confused, “What are the other pair going to doing exactly?”

"The way I see it is you and Cass seduce the guy and then me and Hayden pop out of hiding, we all grab him and try and find out why he's following us" replied Ophelia. "When and if we find that out, I guess we head on to the bar then". It could be that the man was just an opportunist, recognising them as strangers to the area and just after an easy mark, but they couldn't take that chance and it wouldn't hurt any to let the locals know that they were no pushover.

Fi’s mouth twitched from side to side as the plan was outlined for the second time. She sniffed reproachfully “Right just making sure” she lied annoyed with herself at not picking it up the first time “Come on Cass lets see if we can offer him a little of what he fancies, I hope those sollies are well away by now” she shuddered at the thought and then put her game face on and swayed her hips in an enormous arc as she sauntered off

There are about a dozen or so small food booths and stalls scattered at the edges of the street: seven on one, five on the other. Mercs, trade and dock workers cluster around them sipping drinks or shoving steaming food into their mouths.
There's a gap between the hi-caff seller and the noodle stall. There's also space next to a large waste pod opposite by the meatsickle vendor. A couple of Breed are busy chewing noisily on Breedbeast steaks near there. The hi-caff place looks a little quieter.
The bridge rumbles as a gang of scruffy looking kids pull a large waste collection pod behind them. People get out of the way as this room sized orange refusing wagon trundles foward. The old anti-grav skiff that it was rested on has been hacked to use large balls as wheels and the young clean up crew push and pull trying to keep it on track. Clear of the bridge, they stop by the food sellers and pay for water... or rather, water that's likely to be safe to drink. One of them, a young girl, starts emptying the many make-shift bins scattered around the place.
The mark is hanging around outside a drug shop. Prending, or so you assume, in looking at the various derms, tablets and adverts for medical and recreational products.
