Dean opened his eyes to a hubbub of activity around him, which was quite a shock. He felt like he'd been out of it for ages, yet these guys in front of him, well they certainly seemed to be in the height of activity. He looked around, recognising the faces, not just from before they entered the mesmatron or whatever it was, but from before that, from his previous memory.
"What, what's happening?" he said, though it was barely more than a whisper. He saw the lockers and then saw himself and ran to cover himself up with whatever he could find, which seemed in fact to be a small arsenal.

outside the room the stairs go up are dry lots of prints can be seen in the dust along with other marks- the down set of stairs are completely flooded and the water is quite chilled.

"Come on folks, looks like up is the way to go, unless of course you have gills....and fast," says Natasha heading towards the open door. "Jack can the door be closed behind us, after we get through? Maybe disabled somehow?" Natasha was starting to feel a tingling in her fingers, and she was sure the others felt it too, that all familiar sign they needed their meds.

“Wait!” instructed Sage as dim tendrils of recollection began to surface in her brain “We have to get rid of everything down here, I can tell you why, but I just know we have to. We got to eradicate this area of anything and everything” As if cementing the idea in her own mind she grad a gun and primed it ready for action. “A frag grenade is a good idea, but I don’t want anything left alive...well apart from us obviously” Sage surprised herself with the sudden burst of confidence they was exuding from her.

Fully suited and booted, though still a bit perplexed Dean caught up with the rest of the group, his mind moving a mile a minute in an attempt to patch all the events together. As orders were shouted he realised where he fitted in in all of this, bottom of the pile. He kept quiet, after all the others seemed to have adjusted to the situation much faster than he himself had, and maybe it would be better if he didn't draw attention to that fact.

Answering Patches, Jack said: "With an additonal termite from one of you, I might be able to take out this staircase, close it off behind us. But that alone won't necessarily kill these b*stards. However, I have a suggestion, boss," he said, turning to Sage. "Our tasers, set to max. Fired into the water, all of us at once. Should boil those damn things like the spawn they are. Toss in the grenade as Sears suggest right after and slam the door; the boom under water then should take out any toughies like trout. But it has to be now, before they grow too big and start surfacing." As he spoke, he took out his taser and turned it to max power, in case he got the go.

"That could work" said Michele. "But we'd have to be sure we got everything. When I did that with the cattle prod back in that cellblock some of them escaped, we stand a good chance with all tasers on full power and a grenade to finish it. What do you say boss?" She and Sage might be good friends, but on duty it was professional although their familiarity with each other from previous missions had lent an easy camaraderie usually missing from less established units.

"I am all for giving these fish faces a shock they'll remember, " said Natasha giving Jack a gentle pat on the ass as she walked to a dry surface. She removed her taser and waited for the others. "We'd better make this quick guys, I think its time for our medicine. I can feel it so I am sure you lot are too."

"Yeah I feel it" said Michele. "I was kind of hoping it was something else. How long do we have before we're in trouble Doc?"

"I think we have about 15 minutes, I have some doses in my little magic bag here" said Natasha patting the med kit. "However it'd be better if we can have somewhere quiet to get dosed up for today."

"Patches - saviour of my life dozen of times and fondler of buttocks extraordinaire, and likewise Michelle-my-belle: If either of you've got some of it, that's all nice, sweet and dandy, and we'll fine-flippin'-fine, jacking up once we E-grill these shrimps here. But if you don't actually have some in your pack... I'd sooner hear less talk about it; we can push it out of our minds for a long while if we have to, without cracking up completely. But if we keep talking about it, I know I for one will personally have trouble..." As he spoke, he looked to Sage for a signal to fire the tasers, or a 'no' so he could pull back and slam the door; these suckers grew at an insane ratem and he'd have to do one of the two pretty fast, or things could get real ugly...
Then, hearing Natasha saying she had some doses of the drug, made his shoulder go down alittle. "Music in my ears, I swear.. Now, are we going to do this, sir?"

"I can't help it, your buttocks are just so irrisistable. So without a cig I shall have to obey another of my addictions," she winked at Jack and boosted up the power on the tazer

Jack muttered something about 'being fired so hard his head would spin if he'd pulled that sh*t', but didn't seem to take it all that seriously; in truth, he was more taken with another situation: "Boss... Seriously," he began, looking quickly sideways to Jessica, to see if she had an order to give, then moving his eye back to the water: once he saw anything coming close to the surface, he'd fire his taser and hope the others followed suit, regardless of orders - a whole squad of those fishpeople would be hell to fight. Besides, the water kept rising, and soon the plan would be void; "Slam the door, or fire the shockers?"

Jessica had been quiet through most of the events. She just didn't know what to do. Nothing made sense, but everything should be clear to her at the same time. She was secretly relieve to know that Sage was in charge, and now she could let her call the shots from now on. But the fish people were getting closer, and a decision had to be made soon. "Ma'am, what's the decision? Should we fry them now?" Closing the door seemed to be a better option, but it wasn't her call to make.

Brian cranked the taser and got it ready, in his other hand was the frag grenade, "Ready when you are Miss, just say the word, " Boy it felt strange calling his friend Sage, Miss, but she was in command now, strange how she thought I was the gun ho type earlier. he thought
