The "Book" Serie is like any Setting descriptive chapters in any RPG book. In this case, it is written as if from someone from the setting, Elderna. From an IC perspective, The Books, as they are known, is a multi-tome encyclopedia written over the centuries by unknown sources. At times it may be propaganda, at other times it may be the truth, but overall it is a description of the world of Elderna as seen by its denizens.
Book First: Introduction to Elderna
In an effort at educating us, two-leg mortals, I, Foona, with the blessings of our Great Lord Tharnal, shall write the Books of Knowledge. Since there has been no such work done in the past, I will start with some general descriptions of the world as we know it.

This map is a quick drawing of our world Elderna. It has obviously been limited in details to preserve our small intellects, however Lord Tharnal advises this map to be accurate if we don't seek small details.
The continent of Ghard, on which we live, lies in the west, as seen on the map by its greater details. Lord Tharnal tells me that the colors describes the general landscape, where gray be mountains and hills, yellow deserts and plains and green anything else from forest to swamps.
Considering the ever changing landscape of the world, a direct effect of our Gods presence, a map with specific details would be impossible. This map shows what is assumed to not change, considering the presence of powerful Great Wyrms, whom are expected to live forever. Life on Ghard is somewhat peaceful since over a century, as the Wyrms formed an uneasy pact to preserve their lands. Without the treat of conquest, the Wyrms grow older and more powerful, the lands around them reaching some sort of stability.
The northern continent, known as the Ice Wall, is the less hospitable of all. Even for creatures built to live in the coldest of environments, the very nature of the Wyrms living there makes it an ever changing pool of chaos. The savagery of the Gods there have created an all scale war, that endures since centuries. Every decade or so Wyrms are found defeated by their enemies, the lands forever reshaped by their new master.
Little is known about the eastern continent. Many legends arise that the Wyrms over there are totally different to the ones known in Ghard and the Ice Wall. No one, not even a dragon, ever came back from it to bring back news. The only bits of knowledge we have from it comes from magical divination and is always too cryptic to have any meaning. As far as our Lords are concerned, that continent shows very little importance.
Asvenia, the large island in the middle of the map, was until three centuries ago, the last place in the known world where no dragon ruled. The denizens of Asvenia had slayed their Lord a millenia ago, swearing to stay free forever. For centuries they managed to fend off attacks from Wyrms seeking the prestige of being their undoer. Holding against a decade old siege from all sides, they were eventually anihilated when the land itself was cast asunder by an island large earthquake. A year later, after the great storms receded, the Great Green Wyrm Kaladar moved in and called it his domain. The other Lords, content of putting an end to their humiliating failure, never disputed Kaladar's claim. Nothing have been heard from Kaladar since then, but all divination made claims he still lives.
