"Shmokie? Aye, he ya gow laddie." Tally Ho replies as he digs into his pocket and pulls out a pouch. Dipping his fingers inside he pulls out a bunch of wet looking leaves and hands it to Serpent, a smile on his face.
"Ony lit bit dow, no too mush. Make ya shick!" Tally Ho lets out a gruff laugh!
"I'd be careful of that Serpent, strong stuff. Not many of us can handle it." Shifty said to him.
"So Tally Ho, gona be a safe trip or we looking at some wild weather?"
"Ta be fine!" Tally Ho replied.
Shifty looked out to sea, a few clouds were building. Most people had done all of their jobs and were settling in for the trip. He looked across the deck and spotted a few people.
Shifty walked towards them. They were playing a card game.
"Well, check out the new recruit! Doesn't look as fierce as they all say, now does he!" The man is fat, very fat. A gigantic axe strapped to his back. His 3 chins wobble as he laughs.
"Not at all Tubby!" A really skinny man replies to him. He carried two very thin blades to his sides. They looked like thin pieces of metal with a very sharp point.
The third member of this party took the opportunity to snatch a few cards up and discard others. Tubby and the skinny one didn't notice.
"Serpent, this is Tubby..." Indicating the fat one, "Worm..." Pointing to the skinny one, "And my brother, Pockets." Shifty slapped Pockets on the shoulder. "Winning again are ya?"
"So what else is new!" Tubby complained! "Don't know why we all bother!"

"Glad to meet you all, I hope you can teach me a thing or two about cards, I only really like cutting the deck," Serpent laughs at his own joke. " Mind if I just seat here for a while as I enjoy my chew."

"Sit where ya want, but you won't learn to play Tonks by just watching!" Tubby said.
A game was just beginning. Tubby scratched his head, obviously counting his cards. "Tonks!" he called, throwing his 5 royal face cards down on the table. Worm groaned, pushed some coin in Tubby's direction. Pockets followed suit but his pile seemed a lot smaller then Worms. Tubby didn't notice.
It was Worm's turn to deal, handing the other three five cards each. Placing the deck in the middle of the group, he turned one card over and placed it to the side. The game carried on.

"Psst" Serpent spit a big stream on the floor. "Man this tastes great, any one want a bite?" Serpent continued to watch the game and listen to the guys talk. " Any where I guy can get some rest?"

Before anyone takes Serpent up on his offer Shifty blurts out, "It's Tally Ho's stock." Tubby, Worm and Pockets all turn and stare at Serpent, their mouths agape.
"No wonder you want to rest already!"

Serpent really started to feel tired, "Damn this stuff kicks like a mule."

As the group stare at Serpent, he stumbles a bit from his chair, then colapses to the deck.
The group break up laughing.
"Alright lad, up ya get!" Shifty leans down and picks Serpent up from under his arms and helps him walk to his cabin. He places Serpent into a sling and drags a bucket over.
"Throw it all up when you can!"

Serpent's head reeled like a bell had been struck ten or so times. He tried to lean over and the pain continued. He held his head in his hands and tried to remain still. "Damn, I look like a child to these guys," he whispered to himself. He tried to just lay there, and go to sleep.

Serpent spends the next few days in the cabin, feeling really sick. The boat docks in Opal for a few hours. Soon it is off again.
