Cass slid into one of the pods, she smirked to herself if she had been in her work gear getting comfortable in the small space would've been so much easier. "I'm set, ready when you are guys"

Hayden climbed in to one of the remain pods and started to lower the hatch. "Joe's it is," he says and pulls the lid shut.
The inside of the escape capsule grows steadily warmer. Your breath making it feel muggy and more cramped than it already is. The pod shudders and the hatch sealed without instruction from yourself. No amount of pushing or banging against it makes it move. Then there's a click and a sense of movement. The pod seems to scuttle forward, perhaps an outer shell is rolling it onward? The feeling of speed increases and then your stomach hammers into your throat as you free fall.
The enormity of the situation sears into your mind: you are in a tiny rubberise ball falling from the Old Man's Spire at the very top of the city. You remember the view and then squeeze your eyes shut trying to not think about the insane perspectives that must be zipping by you. Your heart hammers against your chest as you try to grip anything that will help fight the primal fear of falling.
You lose track of time and there is pressure against your back - the pod is slowing. Somehow the capsule is pushing against gravity - harder and harder until BANG. You hit something with enough force to knock the wind from your lungs. After that, the pod wobbles and bends as if suspended in something.
The lights on the map flicker and fade to nothing. It reduces the pod to almost complete darkness. The buttons go dark red and become unresponsive. The wobbling motion continues for a short time and then stops. There's a sloshing, scraping noise and then all motion stops.
