This is the place to put all of your OOC discussion. :)

The character sheets are up. I am about to post up a few OOC topics, and then we'll get to the IC thread later today.


[Edit] - Please excuse the random capitalization in the titles of the threads throughtout. But the silly forum software keeps changing it.

(Team Leader) gets changed to (team Leader), and (team leader) gets changed to (team Leader). It looks like it won't allow any capital letters that aren't the first letter in the sentence (including parentheses), and it won't allow any words to go uncapitalized in a thread title (even though that is entirely contrary to standard rules for capitalizing titles). So OOC becomes Ooc. Damned absurd, but whatever. :D Anyway . . . just ignore.

Okay I worked on the character for the game, but I'm sort of confused. After I did the attributes and picked the Criminal skills, I didn't know what to do after that. Could anyone help me out?

Just think regular D20 (modern, D&D, etc.) and you should be fine (with the exception of sanity). All of the appropriate modifiers are right on your sheet. I have posted the sanity rules in the mechanics thread, and when the time comes, I'll walk everyone through that as well.

Don't worry. We won't leave anyone behind. :D

The game thread is open for posting. You guys are in the truck, headed to Baldwin. Post around and let everyone get to know your character a little bit. Once everyone has had a chance to post, I'll update again. We should be getting to some action pretty quickly. :unsure:

Af and I were trying to figure out the system earlier, and we were both scratching out heads. It made me feel a little stupid not being able to figure it out.

No. Cthulhu D20 has its own classes (Offensive and Defensive), and you get to pick which saves you want to have the good progression.

After that you need to pick your class (offensive or defensive). Offensive progresses their base attack like a Fighter (in D&D) and has one good save (like a Fighter's Fort save). Defensive progresses their base attack like a Rogue and has two good saves. Make sense.

After class, you need to allocate skill points, if you haven't already, and pick your feats.

There is a generator HERE that might help.

If you have the book, classes are spelled out on page 9+. Skills list is on 18. I've made a few adjustments (combined a few skills), but get your sheet done, and I'll make whatever changes are necessary. Feats are listed on page 39.

You guys are doing a great job of posting. Awesome! Really, I love it.

Just a few small things. You guys are still a good ways from Highland. I have something exciting planned for you before you get there. :)

Also, when you do finally get near Baldwin, driving up the street to the library may not be the best approach. Check out the map I posted in the first couple of posts, and as you get closer, Books (the expert) will chime in with some suggestions. But ultimately, when the time comes, I'll leave that for you guys to decide.

Feel free to move around the scene as you like. You can finagle any small details you want to make posting easier. If you think your post will require a roll, go ahead and make it.

For those of you who are D20 challenged, if you want to use a skill, roll 1D20 and add the modifier on your sheet to that roll. That's your total. If you meet or exceed the target number (set by me), then you succeed.

I'll be around for posting as needed all weekend. Post if you can. I'll update Sunday night at the latest.

Well it was hard to discern exactly where we were on the map so I just posted to the notion of the map. Granted you threw in that danged road block....lol

I'll go ahead and D20 when I need to, which I have a feeling will be soon.

You are nowhere near the map. That map is about one or two square miles of the downtown area where the library is. You guys are still miles and miles from downtown on the highway.
