Background:
Felps was born on garda villis and grew up as a farm-hand, then when he was 18 he decided to join the marine corp. H traveled to the recruitment centre and enlisted as a support marine, with his great school grades and steady hand he was immediately put on a training program in mechanics. after a few years of being a low level grunt-mechanic he was promoted to lance-corporal. With his new rank came the'privilege' of being the radio man on a front line planetary assault, with his teams survival he was selected for promotion to corporal.
a year later and he was approached by a superior officer and offered the chance to take part in a 'special mission' the reward, promotion to lance-sergeant. He accepted and suceeded but he had unknowingly made trouble for himself, simmering with resentment that Felps had been chosen and not himself one of his closer friends - star marine corporal Roxanne 'Rox' Wrenna - took a pot-shot at him during a mission, she was taken down and ejected from service but she's never stopped hating him (enemy gained).
a few year's later he was taken aside by his superior - Cpt. Arnost (contact) - and promoted to sergeant for his good conduct and dedication. Sadly it was not enough to keep him from leaving the career.
