Sometime after the ride down in the lift...

The last few days have been a bit of a blur. The lack of sunlight - even artificial - has never been a problem. Yet, without the ebb and flow of trade: dockers, salari-folk and Cass's regulars - the time in Nae's underground home has shot by. You have been busy helping Eve prepare the womb-tanks. Large, fluid filled units that seem like mad sarcophagi or long term sleeper coffins. The sort of thing your old pimp used to watch on the so-called educational channels. If not that, Trent and Adam have been showing you around.

Yesterday, Nae upgraded your vamps. After seeing Fi and Ophelia being prepared to go into one of the healant tanks, your own work seemed rather subdued. Just an injection in the roof of your mouth and a few tweaks followed by some tests later in the evening. The poison sacs are growing well and you've been practising injecting through the fangs into an orange. It seems crazy to waste such a rare treat, but Eve says she has a whole stash of them in the hydroponics lab.

You even have your own room. Not exactly spacious, but it's clean and the palmlock on the door works. The flatpad rests on the sheets of your bed, the display frozen on a set of clothes. As you take the bitter orange skin from your mouth, there's a knock at the door. "Hello?" It's Adam's voice.

[color=#6666CC;]"Hi, come in hun,"[/color] replied Cass salivating trying to rid herself on the bitter taste of the orange. She was impressed at how the fangs worked, if only she'd have had them earlier in life it would have saved her a whole lot of problems. She sat up and tried to tidy her hair a little...still a reflex action.

Adam pushes open the door carefully. His face is a crease of smile and blushes. "How you doing?" he asks. "I was... just passing and thought I'd drop in."

[color=#6666CC;]"Were you now?"[/color] asked Cass half laying back on the provided bed, [color=#6666CC;]"Well as you can see I am fine and dandy...is there anything else you want?"[/color] she asked coyly. [color=#6666CC;]"Wanna sit down while you think about it?"[/color] she asked patting the bed beside her.

"Umm..." Adam just about managed. "I'd like to, but I've got stuff to do." Adam's smile drops a little bit. "Eve sent me to ask you a favour." A naughty look dances in his eyes. "But I guess that could wait." He pushes the door shut with a click and the smile goes up a couple of watts.

His nervousness and innocence....she couldn't remember ever being so innocent...although she must've been at some point. [color=#6666CC;]"Want a shoulder rub hun? Or is there something else that wants attention?"[/color]

"Ahh, Cass." Adam's pale skin blushed for a moment, but then the responce disappeared. Was that a SHARC thing? "Shoulder rub? That what you calling it now?" Adam seemed to have blossomed in the time that you were gone. Perhaps your night together allowed him to open up in some way.

"Well, I'm ready for a... rub... if you are. So long as we don't put Trent off his engine work." With that, the young SHARC moved closer towards the bed. This time he had a far more devilish glint to his smile.

[color=#6666CC;]"Did offer to rub something else if that was what was needed,"[/color] she said grinning and looking him up and down. [color=#6666CC;]"To me it looks like there is other more tense areas that need attention, other than your shoulders."[/color] She tried to remain serious but her grin rose to the surface, she stood up and pulled him towards her.

The vigour of youth was very much apparent as you pull Adam close to. He kisses you firmly but with passion, not force. His hands rose up to caress the back of neck, the other one cradling the small of your back. "So glad you came back," he said breathlessly. "I missed you." Whatever message or chores you had lined up, now seem to have slipped his mind. You seem to have had quite an effect on the young SHARC.

If there's something you'd like your character to do, please let me know. I don't want to drag this last bit out. If you're ready / not ready to wrap up, please post as you need to. I'll hand out the skill improvements when you're ready.

A tiny nugget of fear nestled itself into Cass stomach 'I missed you', she felt confused and afraid, nobody had ever wanted to be with her like this young SHARC and it scared her. It scared her that she had missed him too, and when they thought they had been betrayed she felt a part of her break inside. She was stepping into unknown territory here....oooh! Her thought pattern was broken as he kissed the nape of her neck, for a moment she marvelled how one build for strength and violence could be so gentle and then she allowed herself to be washed away in the moment.......
