"Not just young again, and it seemed the Old Man didn't really want that after all, Hopton wanted all the power he could grab". Sally seemed.. strange. The swearing was out of character and she seemed to be concentrating just a bit too much on the conversation, almost as if she were feeling her way. The numbers had almost wiped out her mind though Ophelia rationalised, it could be that she was having to relearn how to interact normally and that's what Eve had meant about her needing time to recover. "As to Hopton, there are always plenty of corporate thrusters nipping at everyone's heels, I don't doubt his job's been filled already and by someone who has no interest in whether we talk or not. Will your career still be safe do you know? You've had a fair bit of time out and Hopton deliberately targeted you for some reason. What will you do if someone has already replaced you? You could always get a makeover and join me". she teased with a grin. Ophelia eased herself off the bed. "Getting moving would be a good idea, yes.. could you pass the robe please" she said clutching hold of the tank to steady herself, at least this unsteadiness would soon pass. "My proper clothes should be in my room, it's just across the corridor. I think there's a mirror in there as well". Ophelia slipped on the robe when Sally fetched it and taking her friend's arm, made her way back to her guest room.

The corridor floor was not as warm and welcoming as the one in the treatment room. Your back did not hurt and if anything, you feel slightly stronger and almost fitter than before. Sally chatters as she tags along with you. "My career? Well, such that it is, I think the company sick pay will cover me with a bit of luck. So many people got hit by the Number Syndrome, I think they'll be glad to get the workers back." Sally seemed to think over your offer. "Maybe I should," she said wistfully, "But, no, it's not really me, Anna. I'm more a mouse mover. I don't fancy the high life." She smiled at her own weakness. Sally didn't like heights.
Your room was just as you left it, although someone had come in and changed the bed. The place felt welcoming and almost homely in a way. Part of you wondered where you'd end up after this. Unless, somehow this became home? There's a thought.
You pause briefly by the door, only slowing your stride a little as you know there's a large mirror on the back of it. What will you look like? Last time Sally helped pick out your new features. This time, it's your own choices.

"Don't worry Sally I was kidding" said Ophelia with a smile. "I know you could never handle those high rise jobs I do. I began doing that because I had to but the life suits me, I was starting to make some good money too. I don't know if I could go back to driving a desk again now". What did she want? she wondered. Her crate in the stack had been home for almost two years now and although it was everyone's dream to get out of there and move up the ladder, it wasn't so bad in a lot of ways. Ophelia looked at the room she had been allocated. Bland, impersonal, but somehow welcoming in some way. Maybe it was having a few personal items in here to come back to. The crate been the same way when she moved in and how she had resented having to live in something like that after the beautiful apartment she had owned before. It had become home after a while and Ophelia supposed that this could too. Had Cass made the right choice in wanting to join Nae's team and live here permanently? Would that be right for her? Ophelia had missed the luxury items she had taken for granted in her former life, at least some of them were to be had here.
Ophelia went to the small cupboard and took out her neatly folded clothes which had been laundered and pressed. Once dressed she steeled herself and went to the full length mirror on the back of the door. She was pleased with what she saw. The new shape to the eyes and the high, sculpted cheekbones lent a classical elegance to the straight aquiline nose and full, well shaped lips. "I see what you mean Sally" she said softly. "It's me.. but it's not me. I don't think anyone who doesn't know me as well as you would be able to recognise me now".
