"We didn't get a lot of intel," Jones muttered. "But that's not unusual. Don't spook the troops and all that. You mind filling us in?"

There was a pause on the line... "They had different missions, all were successful, but unfortunately, all of them ended with the entire team dead." She let that sink in with another pause. "We are stopping major progression here people. This isn't some walk in the park weapon snatch bullsh!t, or one of the kill a flunkie Ops, this is the real deal. The Terminators have discovered an advanced logarithmic prime matrix, that syphons information from the core processor and enhances the bio-mechanical feedback processing at a nano-metric level. This chip is so advanced and so powerful that when combined with the cache of hidden materials within the new T unit's chassis, they can recombine the mechanical and biological elements of their structure and systems!"
Krane was intent at looking out the back window, his eyes flicking from side to side. He'd either heard this information before or was extraordinarily single minded in his actions.

Jones gave a blank look. The words had gone into his ears and rattled around his brain, but very few had connected into anything that seemed to make sense. "Uhh, you mind saying that again, but slowly and for a non-tech? I'm just a soldier."

Dietz paused for no more than a second, "Sorry, I've been surrounded by Techies tryingt o 'out-tech' each other all day and impress me... Simply put... Very, simply put... Cyberdyne's subsidiaries are working on a... Small part of the main T processor that will enable the tincans to heal themselves." Even Dietz sounded shocked, and she'd known about it for some time.
This changed everything, if this thing got into standard use... Well, you could kiss the human race goodbye.

"Sh**," Jones cursed as he shook his head. "Well, if that don't top the day off nicely. No offence, doc." The sniper's brain turned the problem over. "For them to make the tech back to our time... the future... I guess they'd have to stash some of it where it was known. Not only known, but for it to survive Judgement Day in one piece." He flexed his wrist, stretching out some of the tension. "Dumb question: how do we stop it?"

"This is about as secure a line as you can possibly get, but I'm not speaking about that on the phone," Dietz answered, "you should be with me in ten or fifteen minutes, we'll talk more then but in the meantime I want you all to come up with a few ideas, and potentially counter intelligence work to disguise our goals." The line clicked.
Krane continued looking out the window, and then touched a black piece of metal on his ear, "Yes? No... More or less... I'd say so... Let's hope so." He touched the metal again. The car continued over Sydney Harbour Bridge, sun sparkling off the water and traffic went in each direction, a train moved by, sharing the bridge. Birds spiralled in the sky, boats chugged in and out of the harbour, tour buses went passed, people laughed and chatted idlly.
Ignorance was bliss.

Lorna could feel herself paling at the thought of self repairing tin cans, images of destruction made so much worse flashed before her eyes. "Not good, not good at all" she muttered.

The rest of the journey passed quicky, with the only noise being the sound of the tyres on the asphalt roads.
You pull up outside a different place than the office you went to this morning, Krane says something about it being, "...More secure..."
You get out of the car and follow Krane into a standard looking brick building, similar to a house of these times from what you've seen. The walls had graffitti tags on and were not in a very good state of repair. Krane unlocks the front door and holds it open so you can all step inside.
