Leon is a little shocked to discover that he is now alone...the others are gone

He hears the clack of heels from behind his, he turns to come face to face with his ex holding the hand of a sweet little blond girl. Linda slaps him hard......

Leon reeled backwards as Linda hand connected with his cheek but his eyes remained locked on the child whose hand was locked in her mother “Linda?” he whispered hoarsely a thousand and one thoughts streaming through his head. How many times had he ran through what he would say to this woman, but all those prepared speeches just dissolves as he looked at the child, his child “Linda, “ he muttered dragging his eyes away from the little girl “I’m sorry,... so sorry” at that point he didn’t know what exactly he was apologising for. Was it letting the business go bust, or because he ran away or that he had allowed himself to slump so far down that he had to blot out the world with alcohol. He peered at her willing her to say something “I see you still like your shoes” he said a sad little smile curling the corners of his mouth. He clung to the idea that anything that had been part of the previous life together might help her to forget what a failure he had been

Linda’s words stung more than her slap but Leon could not deny one word of them. “Alice, you called her Alice” he said softly “that is a wonderful name” The little girl commanded his attention so completely that Linda’s rant was lost on him “If you give me a chance I’ll explain” he pleaded his hands held outstretched “I know I was wrong but things were hard...” his voice trailed off as he looked at Linda thunderous face

The little girl hid slightly behind her mothers leg, she looked scared whether it was of her mothers temper or of this stranger before her it was hard to tell. [color=#6666CC;]"Things were hard, you don't know the half of it. I have had to bring up Alice on my own, your parents didn't give a sh*t! I don't even know why I am talking to you, you aren't worth my breath!"[/color]

Leon head hung downwards “I know” he replied “I just couldn’t take it anymore, I was pulled in every direction, you know what my parents thought of us and then you were spending so much that I just couldn’t cover it up anymore and the business was haemorrhaging money left right and centre” he muttered weakly He watched Alice cower behind her mother “At least we done something right together though” he looked up and faintly smiled

[color=#6666CC;]"You don't deserve to live, all you are good for is food for the worms"[/color] Leon can taste blood in his mouth where the slap caught his inner lip against his teeth. Linda whistles and the street begins to boil with oily black bodies of slugs, their stench rank in his nostrils.

Leon’s attention was grabbed by the appearance of the slugs at Linda’s behest, a jolt of realisation stabbed at his mind. He had been so enamoured by the idea that he had met his daughter and estranged wife that he had stopped to think how unlikely the probability of that happening was. And yet the pull of emotional ties was strong and to he had to try and makes amends for his failings “But Linda, I know I let you down” he protested before the vile odour became too much and he clamped his hand over his mouth trying to keep the smell at bay “But I didn’t mean to things got away from me and I couldn’t cope” a sob caught in the back of his throat as he confessed

“You can’t be more disgust than I am of myself” he said quietly his hanging downwards again “But we’ve been re-united now, this crazy world must have a reason for doing that. I so want to get to know our daughter” he tried to smile at the little girl

Leon feels needle like teeth bite through his trouser leg, as the first slug reaches him. [color=#6666CC;]"All signs of you will be gone, "[/color] added linda with a cruel laugh. She pulled alice forward and pushes her into a writhing mass of the slugs, she screams and leon sees the first blood splash over the slugs bodies making them seem oily. As another takes a bite from his other ankle.

fortitude save, less than 10 Leon passes out, 10-15 Leon vomits. Higher he is fine.

The nipping at his legs caused him jerk his leg away involuntarily not really understanding what had caused the grasping of his flesh. All her could concentrate on was Linda and her bile “No!” roared Leon as Alice toppled forward into the sudden swathe of slugs that were suddenly surrounding him. He clutched at the air as darkness began to encroach on his vision, he head swam as he tried valiantly to reach his little girl and then nothing as he hit the floor
