Stettler is barely concentrating on the comms traffic and so reports nothing of it to the rest of the bridge; Gryff on the other hand more or less instantaneously has a full holo-image of nearby space displayed above the sensors console and is rapidly populating it with pretty much each and every vessel with a transponder that lies within 500,000km of your present position.
Two vessels in particular are closer to your jump point than they are to what seems to be the main flow of in-system traffic (1,000,000km or around 4 hours away at your Thrust 2); judging by (Arden) transponder signals they are a customs vessel (A high speed cutter, no J-drive, possibly capable of Thrust 6 and around 400,000km away, or just over an hour away at it's top speed if you stay where you are) and some kind of far trader which is much closer - as if it has just jumped in itself, is preparing to jump out, or has for some reason been waiting in the vicinity of commonly used jump points. (Assuming normal far trader specs it might make Thrust 2; it is currently 12,000km or just over 20 minutes away, and more or less between
The Esperanza and the other vessel.)
As Gryff makes precise calculations and reports on the situation the nearer vessel clearly comes about and sets a course for your location, seconds later it becomes clear that she is making a good Thrust 3 and will be with you in a little under 20 minutes instead of the 24 or so previously calculated.
