The long journey across the roads away from Nexus and away in fact from everyone's old homes is surprisingly peaceful, the weather is mild and other travelers are scarce. At every town provisions are purchased for the group and people are respectful, days pass by without incident and it is as if the maiden of journeys smiles upon you. With the great imperial mountain at your backs you travel 300 miles in 2 weeks, good time overall. Before you in a odd valley is a supernatural sight, a collection of waterfalls on 5 sides of a lake, well upon first appearances it looks as a lake would but that the water slides to make a building before flowing into the lake below. The rivers seem to defy gravity to crawl upwards to the top of the waterfalls before falling in again in a endless and slightly disturbing loop. You stand upon a hill overlooking this sight some 3 miles away, the size of it fills most of the valley with it's roaring falls and flowing water.

"Well, my patroness," Isiro said, tipping up the brim of his hat to better observe. After two weeks, most would have taken note of Isiro's apparent allergy to names. Collais was "my patroness", Sai and Danai were simply "lady" and Sha'Morath . . . changed, daily, depending on mood. Today it was "good sir." Isiro's ability to appreciate the fantastic had been dulled somewhat by the continued travel with his own kind, not mortals any longer, but the figures of legend and myth. He gestured to the waterfalls as though no one had seen them yet. "What do you make of that?"

Sha'Morath simply stared, his brain had shut down all other activities for a few moments to process what he was seeing.

Having had the Bastion explained to her before, but never laid eyes on it, she was very nonplussed. Yawning after the long travel, Collais adjusted in her saddle. "I do believe this our destination. Be aware though, that water may be beautiful, but it hides the deadly inhabitants that we must evict. Water Elementals with a foul attitude." Collais reangled her mount and started to make her way towards the Flowing Bastion "Do come along, we wouldn't want to keep our hosts waiting"

Although the past two weeks had allowed Sai to become more comfortable with her companions it was definitely more of a comfortable silence, she was not opposed to conversing with them, just generally still too shy to initiate a conversation. The only exception to this was the tiger that still traveled with them, she had sometimes taken to talking at him when she thought the others were out of earshot, finding comfort in being able to share her worries and her joys with out feeling judged.

As they entered the valley she stopped dead with a gasp, never before had she seen anything like it. "It's...beautiful" she murmured. She let her gaze wander over the fantastical scene in front of her until her reverie was disrupted as the party moved forward again. She wondered, with more than a little trepidation, what facing the water elementals Collais had spoken of would be like.

As you near the bastion, three figures appear out of the lake, beautiful and sensuous, with the forms of naked women, blue skin and clear hair with eyes like pools they smile at you, not moving closer but not backing away, they have no weapons on them or in fact carry anything at all and their faces show curiosity more than anything. One of them addresses you in river tongue "who are you all that come to our realm? are you here to play? here to stay? here to fell the flow of the water and the joy of steam? It has been some time since I saw a dragon of fire, they are so wonderfully warming late into the night." with that she smiles a lovely smile and stretches or at least makes the motions of as you are unsure if there are truly anything within her to stretch.

"Well beautires, maybe we could indulge some late nights soon, but before i could even touch one ripple on your supple body i would need to speak with the master of this household. Allways business before pleasure, im sure you understand." By this time Collais had dismounted her destrier, the air warming pleasantly as she approached the Nymphs.

( for everyone else this is social combat, it is how the system deals with conversation towards a desired end, it is seduction and if successful requires willpower to be spent to resist, as this is natural influence it is not actively hostile nor should be viewed as such unless your char considers a come-on a assault. It is closer to a debate. This is a presence attack and as such only targets one person, if it were performance it would affect everyone who could see/hear the performance.)

Now lovely, you bring me your boss and i will gladly drench myself beneath your bo..waves." the crowd was unsure whether the slip was intentional or not, but Collais sauntered past the open arm and whispered in the Nymph's ear. "Im sure you would love to see me beneath you, but i need to speak to your boss, pretty please?"

Sai felt her cheeks flush as she looked on the beings in front of them, never before had she seen such exquisite beauty. She had never thought about her appearance much, but now in the presence of these wonders she felt as drab as a cobblestone. Her flush only deepened as she watched their conversation with Collais, although no stranger to the idea of sexuality as a weapon or tool of manipulation, she had rarely seen it used so deftly.

The nymph seems to almost blush, smiling quite happily at Coalis, she closes her eyes "She has agreed to come out and meet you halfway upon the water, one moment" The water bulges up from the waves and forms into a bridge from the shore to the building of water well big enough to march a army across. From the building walks a small woman in a kimono, cheeks huge and sagging from her face, a dour and unhappy expression seemingly permanently affixed. She stands halfway down the bridge wearing tabi with her black hair in a bun. The nymphs look down away from her, although you are unsure if it is because of ugliness or simply hierarchy. "We introduce you all to the Lady Oogra"

Sha'Morath watched the conversation with some interest, the women were beautiful no doubt but Sha'Morath knew from bitter experience how often deception was hidden behind such honeyed words. Vajra stood ready at his side, it's bindings loose around it. when the ugly woman stepped from the 'building' The old fighter took a step back in disgust.

"It is a pleasure," Isiro murmured, for the first time since the nymphs appearance making himself known.

Lady Collais had mentioned removing these creatures from the manse, but it remained to be seen if they could not be persuaded to leave. So far he had removed himself from the proceedings, knowing full well that his skills would never include seduction such as this. Yet he had seen it before, with another little bird, very similar to the lady indeed. This was Lady Collais' showing, and he did not know her intention, other than removing the elementals from their territory. For now, he would sit at the side, and observe.

( so I need to know precisely who is going onto the bridge to meet with Oogra, obviously dalacman, and nevermindbaby since he spoke to her. Dalacman which of your henchmen are coming with you? If someone does not tell me either by posting a staying away post or a coming forward post then I will assume you are on the bridge with the rest of the party. I should also note that I may not post as much in the next 2 days for holiday reasons. This should be fun though )

Mnemon knew what going on that bridge meant. It meant risking her own life, and that of her companions. This manse has amazing defenses, its what makes it such an asset, but it made it as hard as escaping Malfeas to take. So, it was down to a simple decision. To walk these few steps onto the bridge and try and parley with the god that stood between her and her destiny. Or, to stay here and possibly offend this celestial official and have no chance of taking the Manse.

So, with a small sigh, Mnemon looked to her compatriots. "So, Who's coming with me? if things goes badly, i will need the fantastic martial capabilities of the great Sha Morath, and if Ms. Sai Hitsu would accompany me, i believe your views on why we need this manse as a base of operations may sway her. If we gain control of this manse, we will have a nigh impregnable fortress from which to begin our solidification of not only the Realm and the Riverlands, but all of creation. Misstress Danai, if i could solicit your help as well on the bridge, i fear the god of this shrine will not hand us her home willingly, and if it comes down to it, i will need good warriors, the fury of the Dawn will teach this minor god her place in creation, though i will ask that you leave your troops her for now. I fear it would cause undue alarm if we were to march up there with your whole platoon."
