'You too' Delaware replies warmly, 'I better go and see the engineer now - make a good impression on my first shift and all that.'
With that she makes her way aft and looks in on Gryff and Renno.
'Hello. Well here I am. Is there anything I can help with? Or would I just be in the way in there? Normally I work on non-engine systems: sensors, astrogation arrays and so on, I could give everything up front a quick look over if you like.'

“Typical” snorted Orthan in response to the information. Gently he began to ease of the braking system but didn’t move “Marquis, we’ve been informed of a delay, I not sure if this is genuine or a stalling tactic, perhaps someone saw Delaware depart and are suspicious. We’ve been advised to make for waiting area A, could be completely innocent or it could be putting us exactly where they want us. Delaware may have more information regarding the layout on the ground” he suggested.

Arrago smiled and put up a hand "My fault, the nerd wanted a distraction."

The hacker raises an eyebrow, but seems nonetheless to take Arrago's comment in good humour.
'It's true' he says, 'I asked Mr Martinez for a diversion, and much to my surprise there was no gunfire and as far as I know no-one even got hit.... remarkable!'

Orthan flexed the tension, that had congregated in his neck out “I must be getting suspicious in my old age” he replied “I’ll taxi through to this waiting area then” A quick flick of his hand and the ship launch initially and then steadily made progress

"The sooner we are out of here, the better," Stettler said, half to himself. "Can't say I'll miss it. Also, being off-planet when our friend down there regains consciousness will a good thing. he might just think he was mugged - or he might go running to his boss, in which case we may have to deal with all that later on; if Mister Kreeg suspects information was extracted from his man, it is likely he will suspect that someone is moving in on his territory. If that trail somehow leads back to us, I hope we get a chance to explain, before ending up on the receiving end of his wrath..."

The ship's boat taxis smoothly to Area A, and by the time Orthan brings it to a halt in front of the docking bay doors it seems that the commotion outside has died down:
Yard Traffic Control here again, you're all the departures we've got for the next hour or so it seems; here are the approach vectors of two arrivals. Whenever you are ready we'll open the docking bay doors and you can taxi through. Go straight to Launch Bay 1. We'' give you the green light once you are there.
Lady Margaret turns to the Marquis and says 'Well Rupert, what do you want to do? I'm not so sure that there is much we can do about our friends stealing technology; I know it feels like something of a violation and certainly should be made common knowledge on the Imperial side of the frontier, but really, what might we do about it that wouldn't land us in hot water?'
....meanwhile...... Jones turns to Stettler saying 'Well, I shouldn't worry too much about the gangster; he really won't know what hit him or when.' The old psion smiles, 'As for Kreeg, it seems to me that were he to suspect anything we probably wouldn't have the chance to explain very much before the shooting started!'
He leans over and adds very quietly 'As soon as we are in space again I intend to proceed, very gently, with our little matter. Don't look so worried, no-one will notice.' With that he pulls out his PC and flips open the screen.

Depite Jones' assurances, Stettler did look a little worried; the ship was now alot more cramped, and after his experiences with psionics planetside, he didn't entirely trust his own reactions around the phenomenon. Still, he knew that it was a Pandora's box; now that he had lifted the lid, he wouldn't be able to close it entirely, ever again. In truth, he was worried what he might end up doing with the 'talent' that he was learning. Hadn't he recently thrown out his ethics when he used his knowledge of drugs to lower that thugs defences? It was a short step to from that to imagening useing his psion talent in the same way - against those who could not defend against it. And then, he would be little better than the Zhodani.
"I am better than them, though", he told himself. "I just need to remember that.."

Replying to Margaret The Marquis says"Yes im not sure there is much we can do now, maybe when we return to pick up The Esperanza we can work it to our advantage. In the meantime lets just get out of here and head for Quare and then on to the orbital rig.I suggest we all get as comfortable as we can and get some rest, possibly in shifts!"

Soon afterwards the ship's boat is in space and bound for Quare. Although cramped by the standards of the yacht, the boat is actually very well equipped and appointed for any journey of up to a few days; as Quare is a mere five hours away, everyone can rest and Morgan serves a hearty soup with rustic bread he bakes himself in the boat's small galley.
With a couple of additions then, the crew of The Esperanza are alone and together again ; soon the moon-world of Quare comes into view and the intimate seclusion of the boat seems to have been all-too-short-lived.
