Laura was a 18-tear-old high school dropout that worked in her father's garage repairing cars. Her life seemed to revolve around fixing cars and stealing boys away from their girlfriends at the pub. When the plague hit she watched as everyone around her died, and when her father finally succumbed to the plague she left Manchester and made her way by car and on foot across the country to find a place where the plague hadn't hit. She brought her toolkit along with her, as well as several blades and a machete she found in an abandoned barn.

She had come across people, but they were wrong somehow. They were crazed, and she avoided them as best she could. When two of them tried to corner her outside of Manchester she killed one with a blow to the head from a tire iron, and the other fled back to its hidey hole.

Now she is just looking for some place to stay, and maybe start something resembling a normal life again.
