The worm wiggled as Darkwolf threaded it onto the hook. A little swing sent the line out to sea. The sand was warm at this time of day. Seagulls flew over head while a few other fishermen also cast their lines or pulled in fish.
Darkwolf was sitting on a bucket, another bucket beside him contained his fishing gear and twenty or so fish. He was in Tagline, a small fishing village north of Chimney, Darkwolfs destination. He had heard talk of a mercenary group, The Black Company, that sometimes landed there.
The rod twitched, Darkwolfs eyes shot towards the tip. It bent! Darkwolf hefted the rod and pulled in an average sized fish. It ended up in the bucket beside him. Another worm went on.
Darkwolf had ran out of traveling money and a bucket full of fish would see him on his way to Chimney by the evening.
A shout caused Darkwolf to turn. A fisherman was bent over something large dark that had washed in from the sea.

Wolf turns to investigate the disturbance. He pulls up his line and drops his fishing rob on the ground next to his bucket. He gets up and tries to get a look at the thing that washed up.

As Darkwolf draws closer to the slowly gathering crowd of fisherman, he realises what the dark heap was. A man. The man seems tall and extremely skinny, Darkwolf also notices wounds on the man, made from some sort of weapon. The man is barely breathing, his chest not even rising.
The gathered fisherman all look at each other, unsure of what to do or how to help the man.

Wolf takes a step back as if to turn away after all this wasn't his problem, in no way did this affect him. Still something tugged at him in the back of his mind, he knew how to help that man and could probably save him...Could he really just ignore that and do nothing? No, he couldn't. He turned back and walked over to the man and examined him to see if there was something he could do.

Wolf bent over the man and did the best he could to resuscitate him. A minute passed, nothing. Another minute and still nothing. Finally the man coughed and started blurting out water from his lungs. Wolf sat him up and helped. Seeing the man was alive the other fisherman walked off and continued fishing.
"Waa, where...?" The man tried to say, looking at his savior, his eyes were barely open.

"A fishing village north of Chimney, you came out of the water I saved you." answers Wolf he looks over to his bucket to make not nobody was going near it then satisfied nobody was trying to steal his fish "You look like you've seen hard times the village is that way" he tells the man indicating the direction "Maybe you can find someone to help you there" says wolf and he gets up to go back to his bucket.

The man watches as Wolf walks up and tries to get up, falling face first into the sand. "Please... Help..." The man stutters. His deep breathes are laboured and he has no strength. The other fisherman seem to all be looking at Wolf and the man. A few muttered words and two fisherman walk back over to the man, lean down and hoist him up between them. Slowly the two fisherman walk the injured man up towards the town. The other fisherman continue their business.
Suddenly the two carrying the man stop and one runs over to Wolf, "The man says he wishes to thank you. We're going to take him to Madam Leroose's house." Turning, the fisherman returns to the injured man and they continue to carry him off.

Wolf walks over to his bucket and picks it up along with his fishing rod "I don't feel like fishing anymore" he mutters to himself. And he simply begins walking in the same direction as the others. Not that he really cared about the wounded man he just happened to be going that way to sell his fish.

The two men carrying the wounded man make their way up the hillside slowly, the town getting ever closer. The wounded man's health seemed to be improving, Wold could see him taking a few steps along with the two fisherman.
Finally they made it to the top of the hill and headed down the path towards Madam Leroose's house.
Something fell out of the wounded mans pocket and drifted down towards the ground.

Wolf waits to see if anyone else noticed the object fall. If not he waits until they enter then walks over and casualty picks it pretending he just noticed it.
Then he examines it.

Wolf picks up a torn piece of paper. One corner had what looked like a skull clawing it's way out of flesh. Writing filled the rest of the piece of paper. Not much was legible as it was damaged by the water but it appeared to be telling a story. The Black Company was mentioned a few times.

Now this was interesting...Wolf had heard stories about the black company and they sounded like a crazy bunch.
Well then maybe I should return this thought Wolf.
He walks towards the house of Madam Leroose's and goes on until he catches up to them. Meaning to have a few more words with this stranger.

Silver opened his eyes. He was lying in a bed, an old lady was walking about in the room, smells of herbs and ointments filled the room. Silver couldn't move, everything hurt, he felt extremely weak.
A knock at the door and the lady walked over to it, admitting Wolf into the room.
The old lady spoke to Wolf, "I hear your the one who saved him, he owes you his life. The Sea of Torments should have taken him." Walking over to Silver the old lady tipped his head back and poured in a little thick liquid that tasted of grass. Silver was too weak to resist.

The liquid tasting grass slowly made its way down his throat. He thought about spitting it out. The taste was horrible and it probably only made him well.
Then he suddenly remembered. They didn’t take it all! He still had a job to do and more money to collect. Yes! That is right, the job wasn’t over!
He swallowed and tried to look up to see the man who saved his life.

The old lady saw Silver try to sit up and rushed over to him. She placed her hand on his chest and pushed him back down towards the bed, "Don't exert yourself, you need rest." She walked back over to her herbs and medicines and started creating another concoction.
