"Ah. My apologies. Clearly a one-man job, that. No assistance necessary. Right..." Stettler nodded as he spoke, underlining that he understood completely, and would leave Arrago to his 'business'. Instead, he took out his comm unit, and messaged Morgan: "Stettler here. Any heads up on where we'll be staying, or should be we return to the ship for now?"

Dr Stettler, we have as arranged taken up residence on the 5th floor of the Hotel Excelsior. Your room is ready, and I imagine that you can come whenever you like.

"Thank you, Mister Egremont. Mister Jones and I shall go to the hotel presently. Mister Martinez has personal business to attend to." With the message underway, Stettler related the exchange to both Jones and Martinez. "We can only assume the Excelsior is a decent hotel, gentlemen; neither the lady, the marquis nor their steward are partial to 'slumming', so I expect to sleep well there, so to speak. I wish you good luck in your endeavours, Mister Martinez. That is, unless you want to share a ride to the hotel to get some bearing on where it is?"

Arrago nodded "I'll walk thanks, I'll find the hotel well enough" and grinned, he headed off down the quay. keeping an eye out for any cruisers that might be Yolanda's ship.

"It seems it is you and I again, then, my friend," Stettler told Mister Jones as they walked back along the quay towards the center, keeping an eye out for the Excelsior. "On our way back, do you want to share why you are in such a peculiar mood? Or is it just the distance between yourself and the boundries of the Imperial constraints upon your kind that makes your spirits rise?" It was not until he had finished his question that he realized he once again excluded himself from the psionic grouping again - speaking of "your kind", rather than "our kind". He didn't bother to correct himself.

Stettler:'As it happens I am in high spirits. It has been a long time since I have travelled, I should say, since I have had permission to travel, and there are moments when the potential for freedom of action makes me quite giddy.'
Jones is smiling as he talks and walks; he is taking in the sights and sounds, and really does look a younger and happier man than when you first met him weeks ago.
'It seems that we have some time to ourselves for a while' he goes on, 'and I'd be happy to continue our own little odyssey. Let's try to find a good while each day to work on your talents shall we?'
Arrago:
Arrago strolls away by himself feeling at ease and as if he is on holiday. It seems though that the ships here are smaller and more like traders and modest freighters than the kind of liner that Yolanda works on. Arrago does have a number for her communicator.

"If we can," Stettler said quietly, as the two of them walked along. "It may not be so easy onboard the boat; on the yacht I had my medbay, where people wouldn't come in unannounced, in case I was consulting a patient. On the boat, there is no such place. But, whenever we can, sure."

'Oh we'll find ways and means' Jones says confidently, 'late night psionic seances' he whispers with a chuckle. 'Listen, you'll see, we'll fly in right under the radar. Don't worry. Now, it seems to me that it's probably time to get a taxi or whatever passes for one around here and get to this hotel.'

Arrago obliges the DM's hint and pulls out his comm, tapping in the code for Yolanda's and holding it to his ear. .

Stettler nodded, and started looking around for a transport; getting to the hotel seemed like a good idea.

You have reached Yolanda's answer machine, hi there! I am out of town until 233, so get back to me then or leave me a message if you like. Bye.
Assuming that the Imperial calendar is in force here 233 is three days from now.

Arrago thought about leaving a message, but he then just sighed and replaced the comm, setting out to wander. occasionally asking for directions to the Excelsior.

Both Stettler and Arrago find The Excelsior without too much trouble, although Arrago has rather more chance to see the city as he wanders than Stettler does in his taxi.
Stettler and Jones arrive a good while before Arrago and find that Morgan has arranged very nice rooms for them on the 5th floor along with everyone else.
When Arrago arrives the artificial lights of Quare City are already dimming to the simulated dusk.
