Within minutes, after a flurry of luggage-grabbing, the ship's boat is empty; the last person to leave is Morgan who hires a freight-handler to load the Marquis and Lady Margaret's gear on a wheeled pallet-truck and then bids you farewell.

'No doubt I shall see you at the hotel' the steward says; he clicks his heels, turns and strides purposefully on to the quayside.

The boat's hatch hisses shut and Gryff and Renno find themselves alone.

'What is left to do to the engines Gryff?' Renno asks curiously.

"Did you not hear that growling noise?" asked Gryff, looking at him with the same curiosity. "I just want to check all is ok, before we have to use it again....plus I get to get down and dirty with you....what could be better?" she winked at him.

'Gr...... growling noise? I didn't hear anything Gryff..... well I suppose we should take a look.'

Renno turns, face reddening a little, and heads towards the tiny engine room.

"Yeah" she muttered, "could be just me getting paranoid in my old age. But unfamiliar engines making strange noises worry me, could be something to do with the injector system". She sits on a stool as he ferrets out some tools, "If you are tired you can go to the hotel, I don't mind checking it out...after all it is my paranoia"

'No Gryff, no, I.. I'd much rather be here with you.' Then most uncharacteristically for Renno, he comes over to Gryff, leans towards her and kisses her gently on the cheek, taking her hand and smiling in his shy fashion. 'I'd much rather be here with you. We'll check the engine out together. Wh... what do you say Chief?'

Gryff smiles warmly and starts to dismantle the engine looking for the injector system. "So what do you think of our new crew member?" Gryff asks Renno as they work.

'Delaware?' Renno says passing you a pair of long nose pliers, 'She seems nice enough. Not really....... erm..... not really our sort of..... not an engine person Gryff....... d.... does that sound nasty?'

At that moment your communicator buzzes:

Morgan here Gryff, I just want to let you know that the Marquis and Lady Margaret are here at the Excelsior Hotel; we have the 5th floor and I have taken the liberty of preparing one room for you, and, *ahem*, just alongside, a room for Master Renno. You are certainly welcome to come whenever you wish.

Gryff grins to herself at Rennos comment about Delaware not being an engine sort of person, "I simply wondered whether her brightness and grace would be of interest to you Renno, since you have discovered the joy of female companionship".

Gryff jumps slightly as the communicator buzzes, "Thanks Morgan, we'll be along when I have rid myself of my paranoia"

Renno looks a little shocked, 'Oh, I... I... don't think she's pretty Gryff! Anyway, anyway.... I.... I....' the young mechanic begins to blush furiously, 'I only ever look at you..... like that.... y... you know... in that way!'

"Hey, don't worry. Its natural to admire the other sex, I wouldn't have gotten angry if you said you though she was pretty", Gryff explained as she tried to calm down the distraught mechanic.

'Well' Renno says firmly this time, 'You are the only one I look at in that way. And.... and that is that!'

With that he starts putting tools away and after a few moments he adds 'Gryff, I would like to go and see our rooms at the hotel, let's go and eat and have a long bath. This will wait.'

Gryff grinned at him "Ok Renno, you know I love it when you are masterful"

Renno smiles and blushes again...... he seems happy that his little foray into manly determination has paid dividends.

With that you leave the ship's boat behind and head to the rather more plush surroundings of the 5th floor of The Excelsior Hotel.

"So what do you want to do now we are here?" she asked, acting shy.

You managed to get to your rooms on the 5th floor without too much fuss; give Morgan his due, he has arranged nice rooms, and seemed to understand that all you really wanted to do was have some privacy and to shut out the rest of the Galaxy for a while.

Renno joins you in your room after a few minutes, he is clearly impressed by the surroundings. Of course the yacht's quarters are comfortable, but this hotel is spacious and plush. 'Have you noticed the mini-bar?' he asks very boyishly as he comes in.

When you ask him what he wants to do though, the boyishness vanishes and the young mechanic rediscovers that somewhat forceful tone of earlier. He comes over to you and takes you in his arms, kisses you gently on the lips and says without a stammer 'I want us to take a long hot bath together..... after that I want to fall into that huge bed with you and stay there until they send out a search party for us.'
