You leave the throne room and head towards the dungeon, the first guard station is up ahead.

Vachon stops a second and talks to reboot and hides what he does to him, then turns around and keeps walking towards the station and says, "So, do you think the imperial envoy came down here too, for the person we're gonna rescue?"

(basically, pulled out my lightsaber and clipped it onto my belt, hidden from view by my cape)

Amarylis walked along casually. Shrugging his shoulders, "No idea, knowing our luck, the lightsaber user could be after them as well." He shook his head, "That's all we'd need..." Amarylis' hand hovered over the hilt of his vibro blade. He knew it would be best to fight silently. His blaster would most likely draw unwanted attention.

You come up to the guard post, the guards give you a strange look since its a little odd for you to be coming down here at this time but don't try to stop you as you walk past.

The door is down the hall past the medical center were Jackson is still in his bacta tank but he looks fully recovered now. Further down from here is the cells were prisoners are kept.

Enestar looks at Jackson when you walk past his tank. "We should get him out when were done down there." he says

You arrive in front of the security door leading to the basement.

The lock system is double, a biometric hand scanner and a mechanical lock that requires a key card.

The hand scanner can be overridden with a dc 30 computer use and the mechanical lock disable with a dc 30 disable device.

Amarylis knelt down and had a look at the lock mechanism. He drew a few little tools from his kits and started to have a little fiddle. Withdrawing the tools he stood and faced his two companions, "So... we have a little problem here. Now it will take me at least an hour to unlock this without setting off the alarm. Or I can use another method and attempt it, but I will need a LOT of luck to succeed but will most likely fail and set the alarm off. Your call gentlemen."

"Will Reboot be able to help you with this at all?" Vachon asks.

(it has 7 in computer use and disable device, though the stat block also says 20 skill points unspent)

Are you able to combine rolls? I could hopefully succeed with and extra +7. ATM I need to roll an 18 to succeed, 11 if Reboot is able to help. If I fail by more than 5 then the alarm goes off.

There a 2 checks to make a computer use and a disable device taking 20 on both would in fact take 2 hours.

Not sure about those unspent skills points will look into it tonight and get back to you cause if he could get an extra 3 to that computer use he could do the computer use while Amarylis does the disable device.

Amarylis continued to stare at the lock mechanism. "This is going to take some time. I doubt we'll be lucky enough to not gain any company, perhaps you should head on back and distract anyone who walks down here? If that's the plan I may as well start now?"

Vachon just shrugs his shoulders and heads down the hall to prevent anyone from going down there.

I looked it up the droid has +11 computer use because his int mod is not included in his skills. And yes you can spend those skills points in other skills but he can have no more than 7 ranks in each skills.

So the droid will take care of hacking the scanner while Amarylis disables the lock witch will take one hour.

Upstairs there is a clamor as the droid races are about to begin.
